While browsing filefront (again) I came across an interesting little mod that changes the main menu and adds new characters to it.

I know this was made by the devs and is cut content, but I was wondering if there was any way I could add characters to the main menu screen by myself.

The main menu model is 3dgui.mdl.

Ahhh, so it's model editing. Hmm..I can't do that, but maybe somebody else could.

is the model you gave me for K1 or TSL?

Hey,

I was wondering if you can modify the main menu so you can add another button to select which will send you to your Mod.........

Basically you select your Mod's name button which is part of the list....new game, configure...etc.

Then that will send you to a character creation in TSL but after you’re done you hit accept and then you are sent right to the new Mod.

Is this possible??

I'm afraid that as far as I know, it's not possible - there was a request a few years back. IIRC, svosh said it wouldn't work, but my memory may be faulty on that.

Yeah, I don't think it'll work. I believe the buttons are hard-coded. Like Level Max.

It's for KotOR. Sorry, I don't know the TSL one.

back to the question, would it be possible to change the characters, or would that be hard-coded into the game?

Well, there was a pic on KotOR files a couple of days ago that had Revan as the main menu model, but I don't remember if it was for 1 or 2...

That was for TSL...If somebody could tell me how you would do that, and maybe add another character on the other side of the menu, i'd be very thankful.

Simple. Edit in KSE your appearance to be Revan's, play as a Dark Side Sith Lord.
