OK,time to start over this one. This mod is actually made on request of redrob41.I did work on it and then left it for sometime and now I think I should start working on it again this time with a thread. Here are some pics

From above picture don't take it as bendak can wear it in cantina.Although he wears this armor in the duel ring but I can't find a utc file which can make me change his appearance to the golden one.I use to only change the texture name to N_mandlorian03 for quickly seeing it in game.So if any one can tell me the utc file which is able to change things of bendak while he is in arena will be very help full. Also I am going to soon work on some additional dialogs.
Edit:You will also get this armor from the hutt in cantina after killing bendak or you can always use the cheat:lol:.
Looks nice! There's probably an appearance.2da that will control what does the cantina, but I'm probably wrong.
SS,I have already made a new appearance type because bendak uses the appearance of Alien_Mandlorian_03 and I made a new one Alien_Mandlorian_99.I found only one utc file "tar02_bendak021.utc" due to which bendak is able to wear the golden armor in the duel ring. But the above .utc file don't allow me to make him wear this armor in the cantina.I mean in cantina he wears his original armor while in duel ring he wears the golden armor.I need to find a utc file which can make me change his appearance in cantina.
Yeah, i like that armor.
Bendak definetly needs a unique look.
I'm thinking three things:
*Awsome!
*Kinda cartoony! (in a good way)
*Bendak's wearing butter! :xp:

I'm pretty sure Alien_Mandalorian_99 is being used in Silveredge's BoS appearance.2da.
One way to find the .utc would be to find the dialog file, then figure out which .utc it is. Also, it might be just in the templates.bif. I remember that Bendak doesn't show up until after you watch the duel screen, I think.

And SS,how do I find a utc by just viewing dialogs.
EDIT:OK,here are an updated armor images.

SS I am waiting for an answer from you or any one else about the above question
Looking good LR999! Now he looks like someone who's gotten rich off of his death match winnings.
I still think that he needs some kind of crest or logo on the white shoulder plate. Maybe some kind of exploding star (his name is Starkiller after all). I'll try and whip up a sample or two later tonight if you like.
Maybe you could also make it a wearable armour that is given to you by Ajuur the Hutt after killing Bendak in the deul arena?
RedRob41,thanks and I have already altered dialogs and in the above pictures you can see two men wearing the golden armor one is you and one is bendak.Yes,you will be getting it from Ajuur the Hutt.
Oh! I forgot to ask RedRob41 you were the person who told me about bendaks utc file
"tar02_bendak021.utc".It only makes bendak wear the golden armor in the arena is there any utc file which I can use for changing his armor in the cantina.
And about the logo if you can find one please tell me cause I need some logo fit for a starkiller.Hope you like this mod when its completed.

Yeah, that's the only one I can think of. When I get home from work I'll take a look and see if there is another one (I'm on my lunch break :burg1: ).
As for the logo, I was thinking of combining the Mandalorian Crusader logo (stylized serpent) that I saw on Star Wars wiki (
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian_Crusader) with some kind of star burst in the center. Basically, the Crusaders were around at the time of KotOR, before becoming Neo-Crusaders (and Canderous was a member). The Neo-Crusaders also have a logo. (
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Neo-Crusader)
Well, I'm home now, and here are a couple of ideas for a Starkiller crest:

http://img530.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bendaklogocolormirroreded2.jpg)
I'm not sure where you will put it on the armour. At first I thought that the left shoulder plate would be good, but after taking a look at the tga, I think that it would be a mirror image. Maybe on the chest plate (like Boba Fett)? I added a third image that could be used on the shoulder and it will mirror fine (just pick the left or right side).
As for the utc file, I can't find any others for Bendak. In the dialog for "tar02_duelann022.dlg" there is a script that runs called "k_ptar_spbendak.ncs" and it spawns Bendak in the Cantina. That script only shows the "tar02_bendak021.utc".
Anyway, I can't wait to see how it turns out.
RedRob41,I like the logo's but the only problem I am getting is I am not able to select only the logo part, the whole image comes with white part so can you tell me how to select only the logo and not the white part I tried using select tools but they fail too.
Very nice logos, and i like the golden armor, but you should consider to put more than only 1 logo on his armor, after all i didnt get the impression that mandalorians have "clean" armors BobaFett has several marks on hi armor.
Mby put a logo on the shoulders and a different logo onto the chestplate?

Do you use Photoshop? If you do, I will e-mail you (I've still got your address) a .psd file with the logo on one layer, and the white background on another. That way you can bring in just the good parts, and not lose the little glow around the star. Will you use all three, or just the color ones? Let me know if there are any changes you'd like me to make. I'll get home from work around 6:00 pm my time (I think we're 12hour time difference) and take care of it then.
sayoko, do you (or anyone else) have any suggestions for an extra logo? The only other thing I can think of would be to add some kind of number notches indicating how many death matches he has won (but I don't know how many that would be). There's also the Neo-Crusader icon I mentioned earlier, since he wears Neo-Crusader armour.
RedRob41,I use photoshop and mostly I get impatient on somethings while using it.So all I needed was some patience and time and I did that and have used the images while I would still like to have your .psd file. And by the way we need some other good logos too and we also need to think where to place logos to make the armor look good.In my opinion I will make a .tga without logos and a .tga with logos to give people choice to choose from it.And I did some tries see where logos can be place you might need to see the images.

And SS,how do I find a utc by just viewing dialogs.
SS I am waiting for an answer from you or any one else about the above question
What I mean is find the utc that uses the dialog. The .utc file has the dialog name in it. But this involves a lot of searching. I'll try to find it for you if you haven't found it already.
That would be great if you can find it for me SS.

I e-mailed you the psd files, so I hope they help you out. As for where to put them, I think that on Bendak's right side pectoral plate is a good spot (like in the last picture), but maybe it should be a little bit smaller so that it fits completely on that plate (right now it seems too big). You might need to remove those two tiny rectangles on the armour though.
I like the red color you used in the second pic. It jumps out off of the yellow, which suits the explosion theme. As for the one on the arm, it looks good there. I originally thought it should go on the left shoulder plate where that big white area is, but I'm surprised at how well it fits on the fore arm. Maybe for the shoulder you could use the existing Neo-Crusader logo that I posted about earlier?
Keep it up, it's gonna look great!
I just had an idea... extend the streaky part all the way around the edge of the forearm gauntlet, and put the exploding star in the centre on a white background. Here's a quick sketch:
http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/8308/logosketch1sw0.jpg)
Is it me? Or does the helmet look a bit plastic-ish? But other then that it looks great! ;)
Everyone please note that the project will be halted for 2 months due to my upcoming exams. And also if any one can give nay other logos that would be grateful.
Hey LR, any news on this one?
I still prefer the one without any markings.
Please PM, this type of thing in the future. This is a simple thread 'bump' which is not allowed. -RH
i love it it loks great one sugestion though how about making the straps that hold on the chest plate grey? i think it would look better but its up to you
Hmm,I like the idea,I might think of working on it.Btw,I have started working on this mod again.E-Varmint has made some dialogs for bendak which tell us where he got the armor from and RedRob41 corrected some things in it.I am searching for a Voice over actor who would VO bendak's all dialogs including the new ones too.I am although figuring out some things I have forgotten of reskinning bendak and I am looking on all my saved skins to see what I did.Long story short I need a color effect for which I used many modes again and again but I have forgotten how to do it again.Btw,RedRob41 gave me some logs to fit in armor I only did the chest and shoulder plate part cause I forgot the area where the other two logo's were to fit.Pics will be added later of the completed ones.
EDIT:
Here are the pics:

Btw,RedRob41 gave me some logs to fit in armor I only did the chest and shoulder plate part cause I forgot the area where the other two logo's were to fit.Pics will be added later of the completed ones.
The Photoshop file I sent you should have had all the logos in the correct places (just line the file up by the marks in the corners). Plus they should have a white area underneath each of them, so that the logo has more contrast, and is easier to see all the details. Right now the yellow of the exploding star is too hard to see against the yellow of the chest plate or arm guard. The shade of white that I sent may be different though, than what you are using (so you will have to edit my white backgrounds to match the colour of yours).
i would love to do the voice over but i dont think i have the equipment
Well, its been a while I posted something around here,I am not going to be around here till half or more of October due to first term exams. But I did some tries on the logo's RedRob gave.I will check for feedback in few days. And I am still looking for a Voice actor.

I still think that there should be a white area behind the chest and fore-arm logos. Right now the areas are a little bit "cluttered", and the details of the logo gets lost in the yellow armour details. However, I do like how the shoulder looks with the logo overlapping the yellow part, and the white pointing down follows the shape of the star's point.
Such an awesome reskin. I eagerly await release
I like it. Keep the good work.
I thought to try those white parts too.So redrob41 enjoy and tell me of any mistakes.Btw,the white parts what type of filter and layer mask you made that it looks like the white in the original file you sent.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f49/LordRevan999/Bendak2-1.jpg)
This. Is. Awsome. And it gives me an idea. Would anyone mind if I did a tie-in of Starkiller's armor into TSL?
I thought to try those white parts too.So redrob41 enjoy and tell me of any mistakes.Btw,the white parts what type of filter and layer mask you made that it looks like the white in the original file you sent.
In the file I sent you, the white areas were done using the techniques I talked about in my tutorial (
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=191609). Basically, I copied the original area, desaturated it, used the healing brush tools to paint away the unwanted lines, then used the "overlay" blending mode (I might have also played with the levels a bit). That's how I was able to put the shadows onto a blank white layer (I might have merged them before I sent you the Photoshop file).
I think that the logo is much easier to see on the arms now, but you still should make a white area around the chest logo. You could make the white any shape that you like, as long as the logo stands out.
Well,redrob41,it actually worked:D.I made another white area on the other shoulder. Now the armor looks better, that is what I think.Btw,sorry for not posting for so long time. Here are new pics.

Wow LR, this is looking good.
Looking good! The logos are much easier to see now with the white background (it creates contrast that makes the logo "pop" out).
I'd say if youre going to have the white on the chest plate to put white on the other side as well because it dosent look right having unmatching chest plates

Thats how the standard Mandalorian Armor is. I don't think LR is going to change anything else on his chest.

on the left He added a patch of white to make the logo show better.
Well,I might add white patch on right and even a new logo too.But its redrob41 to decide, because he gave me the idea, its his request so his decision and I owe much of the new skills I learnt to him, too.Just wait for redrob41 to come here and decide what to do.
Not all Mandalorian armour needs to be symetrical. Some of the great re-skins I've seen have used both symetrical white areas, as well as asymetrical. The standard in-game ones are all identically patterned, and it makes them look like uniforms. The re-skins usually go for a unique look (
http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Individual_Mandalorians;85177), as if it was customized by the guy wearing the armour. 90Sk made a blue armour with symetrical white areas (
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=184945). I think that Bendak should be unique (hence the logos I designed), but that doesn't mean that he needs to have perfectly balanced white paint.
LordRevan, if you want to do some more touch ups to it, go right ahead. I trust your artistic judgement. After all, I suggested that you try to make a unique Bendak because you did such a great job on your worn out Mando armours (
http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=184526). If I had wanted to completely control his look, I could have easily done the whole skin myself, but I wanted to see your take on how he would look. I only helped out with the logos because I had a "eureka" :bluidea: moment when I designed them, and in order to see them properly, they need to be on a white background.
So, feel free to make this your mod, with some help from me.
Edit: BTW, I do like the choices you've made so far. The bright yellow contrasts nicely with the grey, and the grey undersuit still has highlights and shadows (quite often, modders will make that just straight black, and it loses all the detail). The darker brown under the arms, around the midsection, works well (I probably wouldn't have thought of it myself) as it contrasts with both the bright values of the armour and the dark value of the undersuit, yet still maintains an adjacent colour to the yellow.

Wow,I can't believe you think of me like this.No one ever said anything like this to me:crybaby:.And trust me,your better on artistic judgments and reskinning then me,I have always wished to be a good reskinner and your tutorial was the one that made me improve myself. And,yes I will complete this mod with your help.

Thanks:clap2:,once again I can't believe some really thinks my choices were right ones.
So here it is people, the white patch few of you wanted, remember I don't like the idea of having it in first place. But still just to show how with a white patch the armor looks, I have made two tries of white patch. Here are the pics.Choose if you like any one of the two below, but my vote is for none cause they don't look good and part of me says I did my best effort to make worse white patch:lol:.
http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f49/LordRevan999/whitepatchbendakcombined.jpg)
Btw,I was just messing around like I usually do and I came up with these white color mando armors. As a fan of clones,I wished if I could see their predecessors in white armors too.Well I think my wish came true.Have a look.I made two and I would like to ask the people to tell me which one to work on.I am also thinking of adding this armor in bendak's mod or in a different one.

Well guys you were right, it looks better without it
Also great white armor its like mandalorian stormtroopers
Wow,I can't believe you think of me like this.No one ever said anything like this to me:crybaby:.
I hope those are tears of joy. There's always room for improvement, even for me. ;)
As for the white on the chest, I agree, it seems to be overpowering the gold. Have you thought about making the chest mostly gold with white only behind the logo. Cassus Fett (
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Cassus_Fett)is) a good example of gold armour without any white at all (except his cape).
I don't see too much difference between the white armours, other than the amount of baremetal shine.
I didn't particularly(sp?) like the white on the chest either.
It looked better before.
Well,redrob41 I have tried something to show you how I can't seem to make those white parts golden. But it has worked in some areas and it also has given worse effects like on the chest.Btw,I have used the golden texture without logos to show how it looks. Also,if you have suggestions how to fix the blur and bad pattern please tell me.

Well, I think that Bendak looks pretty good with the white on his arms, legs, and shoulders, so, it's really just the chest that could use a bit more gold. Still, doing the whole suit makes for good practice.
Don't forget to try the Add Noise Filter to make things less blurry (usually set to 1 to 3 % should do it).
I would use a lot layers with various effects to make the white areas into yellow, and still look textured. I'll e-mail you a small sample of what I'd do, since I don't have the time for a proper tutorial.

Follow RedRob's advice is a good idea to remove the blur. Also, I'm liking what you did with the chest plate that appears behind the actual chest plate (actual is gold, while the one I'm talking about is more orange then gold). If you plan on keeping that, may I suggest making the rest of his behind chest armor (the parts that appear to be purplish above the belt and before the shoulders) like what you did behind the actual armor.
(if you didn't get that, make the purple-ish parts of Bendak's armor like the orange-ish color behind the chest plate. IMO, it would make the armor look a little more complete.)
Excellent My only advice would be to make his boots all black
