If you have any questions about how things work in Javyar's Cantina that aren't answered in the sticky on 'How to Contribute a Tale', post them here!

I have a question. Can we submit poems and song fics like the one I did?

You can, though my experience has been songfics do better than poems. :)

Is there a limit set on the length of a submission?

No limit on the length. :) It can be as short or as long as you'd like.

The poll closes on the 12th, so we should have our winner by the 13th. The winner of this contest chooses the next theme, so if you can wait a week, we should have a new topic.

I moved them all to CEC so people can view them there. The links are still in the Feb Tale topic thread.

Question: Can the story be AU sequel to a book?

It can be anything, as long as it conforms to the current theme and Javyar's rules.

Another Q: After they are moved to the CEC can we put them in the archives?

That's what I'd guess. People comment in them and mach reviews them, so they look like they count as "normal" fics.

I feel as though I will be unable to post the topic that has the fan ficon March 31st. Is it okay to email Jae the fan fiction so that it can be posted? I tried PM but it was too long...

You certainly can feel free to post it in CEC if you don't want to post it by the 31st deadline in the Cantina. :)

Hm, I done so twice and both times, it was deleted. Did you just save it and then deleted it so that it will be placed back here at the end of the contest? Or is there an error that has occured?

The How to post a tale (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=175496) sticky explains it fully and will give you all the instructions. --Jae

Nope. You can still enter and receive votes, but you won't be able to pick the next topic.

To prevent someone from winning a bunch of times in a row, we decided to state that the winner of one month's contest can't be the winner of the next contest. After all, s/he is picking the topic, and that would give the winner an unfair advantage in the next month's contest. The winner can write a fic for the next month's contest, but they're ineligible to win.

That sounds fair Jae. After all, at the moment, I'm only entering every two months, but that will end soon and what you've come up with is good. So will that mean their Fan Fic can't be voted??

Darth Stephanie, do you mean a story written by two people in collaboration? As far as I know, jointly written stories can be submitted, but only as a single entry. (Meaning you can't write a story with someone else, and then submit another entry on your own.)

As long as you haven't posted any part of the submission before, it's fine. If you choose to later absorb that submission into part of a larger story arc (probably once the voting is closed?), I don't think it's an issue :) In fact, I think Writer did that with Fate of the Galaxy Hacker.

I don't recall it being anywhere in the rules, but it's probably a good idea to keep to Star Wars if possible, since this is a Star Wars forum :D We like lightsabre chop chop things!

IIRC, Star Wars is compulsary. It has to be Star Wars. Javyar cannot tolerate foreign dimesions.

It's a SW forum, specifically Kotor, so I think it should be contained to SW topics. Not everyone is familiar with some of the other games or anime that seem to come up as stories here.

Endorenna, yes, they are:)

CommanderQ, welcome to the forum! Click here for the full version (http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=175496), but basically you just write your story based on this month's topic and start a new thread with it in this subforum. It won't appear until the mods approve it.

Just post a fanfic into the Javyar's Cantina and it'll be revealed on the stipulated date. Don't worry, there's no registration. :xp:

Be careful when posting, it has to be a shorty and you can't see your fic after you post till it's revealed (and you can't edit it either). And since reveal date is like tomorrow, you have to run. Check out the other sticky threads, they're pretty good.

To answer your question LordOfTheFish, it is generally assumed that the entries would be about Star Wars. This is a Star Wars forum here and the idea was to keep it theme oriented. While it is not specific to KOTOR like kotorfanmedia.com, it is preferrable that you have your entry in a Star Wars based theme.
