everytime i turn on my laptop and start up eaw, i get the ecception evertime i enter space or land, so i always have to uninstall/reinstall the game to get it to work. same thing if i change one little thing in the xml, so i dont even mess with those.

but thats only the laptop, at least i have my big computer that i can use when my girls not on it. it runs well on that.

Hmm.. all that I can think of is re-installing the game. Though you said you've done this and it keeps happening.

Are you playing EaW using a mod? I know a few I have played that when fighting on certain planets in will cause exceptions.

I think this has more to do with your system than it has to do with laptops in general.. I played EaW with the Ultimate Mod on my laptop without any difficulties at all..

As always, make sure your laptop's bios, display drivers, and sound drivers are up to date.

If you have already done these things, or if you continue having problems after doing them, post your laptop specs.

Some laptop manufacturers, like Dell, have drivers for their mobile display adapters that are commonly incompatable with various games for one reason or another. If you post your laptop specs including the make and model of both the laptop and it's display adapter, I can try to see if this is the cause of the problem.
