What is the maximum amount of kills you've earned in a round before it overheats? And remain constantly firing without stopping. Mine's 4 (shot em' all in the head.)
dunno never used it really
I picked five and up. I do my best to stop firing before the chaingun overheats. This way, you don't have to wait as long to start firing again. Overall, you get more firing time.
4, i use it with cation most times, but i have been know to charge chain-gun blaring
i got 4 when i was on tantive IV down a coridor
5 on Tantive IV, usually 4 on most other levels.

I also tend to do the same. More efficient. :xp:

How many though without letting the firing button go and letting it overheat.
Max, I'd have to say about six. This was on a single player mission on Elite. I had all the three awards too. I think I normally get about 2, but I don't play the unit often. I try to pick units off one at a time instead of going up aganist a loarge group.
Its five and up. I get that on the Death Star, 750 reinforcements, 32 bots and only one command post for them. And to make it worse for the enemy, it was on two player. Two commanders firing at the same time, the results, 27 dead bots!
Two, I have horrible luck with the clone commander, it seems every time I spawn as him I am always sniped by some droid before I can get above 2 kills, I avoid the unit by instinct now...
Don't really use the commander. I don't get that high either. It's mainly because I'm not used to the charge-up time on the cannon. By the way, anyone notice that it isn't a chaingun? The barrel doesn't rotate in 3rd or first person!
Nope, didn't notice. Another place set aside by the graphic developers. Maybe the external frame doesn't rotate, but something inside does.
Kinda ruins the idea of a chaingun though. Could have been a heavy assault rifle for all it matters.
I've gotten 7 (at least) on Kamino. Was running towards a CP and looked down a ramp and there were tons of Bots standing there firisng at something else. I just opened fire, its easy when they're all in a line and they don't move.
your right!!! the barrel doesn't spin!!!!omg! they really should fix that...
anyway the most kills i got was 3, and that was when like 4 other bots were shooting at the enemies too at close range, it was on Utapau, at the y cross place near the reb/rep main spawn...
I've gotten four because sometimes it's like a firing sqaud and the 4 droids are standing in a nice little row. But not for long...
:) :)
Oh, yes, they should really fix the barrel gun instead of all the bugs and whatnot. :P
You don't even know if it's an error or if the gun actually works that way. :P
As for the Commander weapon, I've only killed two or three in one load.
Well, I'm sure the Elite Beam rifle is meant to only hurt at pistol range, or that every weapon looks like a shotgun if it isn't a machine gun.
Attention to detail is why everyone loves Halo. I mean, the damned sniper rifle has a viewable TV screen!
I'm pretty dissapointed with how the chaingun looks (looks more like the Imprial Shocktrooper's rocket laucher to me.) *sigh*
Nah, the chaingun is a unique model. Look carefully, it does have barrels. The rocket launchers look okay to me. Shame everyone has the same grenade launcher, or that the Magnaguard shoots misiles from a HAND PISTOL!!
Well, how about the same model for anything from rifles to shotguns to flamers?
Each side has individual machine guns, but everything else is duplicated to some extent. LAZY MODDLERS!
Why exactly is there suddenly loads of chainguns in Battlefront II the only projectile weapons I remember from the movies were Zam Wessells and the Tusken Raiders rifles, and they aren't even chainguns.
I don't see loads of chainguns. Only two units have them.
I'm talking about on vehicles aswell.
(and whats the second unit?)
Oh, I didn't think of the turrets, fighters, and other vehicles with such weapons. The two ground units with chaingun type weapons (means units who fire at high rates of fire ) are the Rebublic's Clone Commander and the CIS' Droideka. You could say the droideka isn't. It fires faster than any other unit (except clone commander), so I say it is.
No the Droideka only has rapid fire blasters, Chaingun doesn't mean just a high rate of fire, it means that the gun uses an external source of power (a motor), rather than recoil, to cycle the weapon. A Chaingun is refering to a projectile firing weapon.

The only star fighter I know of that has a chain gun like weapon is the droid Tri-Fighter
And the rebel V-wing bomber
I've just noticed how big the clone shotgun is... almost as tall as the clone himself. I see they had size in mind when they were creating it LOL
It's just the same model as the Clone Blaster rifle.
But you'd think the designers would have put more effort into it. I mean, look at the rebel smuggler's shotgun. It's tiny!
It's the same shotgun as the Rebel Pilots in SWBF1, accept with different ammunition.
Only the person using it in SWBF2 (smuggler) looks way cooler than in SWBF1m(pilot)...
Bright orange suits? please...
...Bright orange suits? please...Thats how they were in the movies.
Yea, I guess I'm wrong about the droideka having a chaingun type weapon.
And to repeat my comment (for the slow).
Lazy moddlers!
The smuggler's shotgun is the same as the Bothan's disintegrator.
As for the Destroyer, well, is shoots fast, that's all that matters.
