I'd like to let everyone here at the Holowan Laboratories know about a few, albeit major, changes that are taking place even as I am writing this re my "Holowan Reports" at RPGDot.
First and foremost - it has taken more and more of my very limited capability to do any sort of justice to my Holowan Reports of late. This is due to a number of reasons:
(1) I've not mentioned it until now - but I am actually quite "physically challenged". While some of you know that I've spend the greator majority of my life either actively serving in the U.S. military, or affiliated with it as a "military brat"; there are but a very small handful of you that know I was "Involuntarily Retired" from my military service due to physical disabilities back in early 1993. What relevance this has in online reporting is simple. A good friend recently expressed concern that I was "not operating at 100% capacity". In all reality - I've been actually operating "at 75% capacity" on my good days, and more like"50% capacity" on a normal day, for more years than I really care to look back upon. This merely means that - while a normal person may do a newsbit in, say 2 minutes - my typing capability and coordination is such that the same newsbit would more likely take me 10-15 minutes to do.
(2) Beyond my diminishing physical capabilites in typing and coordination - the actual volume of mods/mod tools/skins, etc. - both for KotOR - and now for KotOR 2 that are being produced is - quite frankly - impossible to keep up with for a normal person - unless the Holowan Reports that I started become a daily event over at RPGDot...the challenges that preclude doing justice to any Holowan Reporting - I've already covered in an earlier thread here. Bottom line - the only way that I can insure the Holowan keeps getting the credit due to its Mod Engineers is to find a way to get more RPGDot personnel involved in covering the Holowan Mods (with some experienced guidance, of course - like myself) on a daily basis whenever possible.
So - for those of you wondering why I haven't been able to produce a good Holowan Report of late - now you know, and I apologize for having to let some of you down of late.
That being said - there is always a silver lining to every dark cloud - and I have such to add to this long thread.
Early on, I realized all of the problems I've been outlining of late with the Holowan Reporting in particular, and the mod reporting over at RPGDot in general...and while I may becoming less physically able to keep up - that doesn't mean that I am just giving up and deserting you all. I've been especially busy of late lobbying for my latest proposal (mainly newly created Editor positions(s)) over at RPGDot - which, I am proud to say - just became reality about half an hour ago. To see what I mean - I invite you all to visit the link below at RPGDot:

(BTW - I wrote the main advertisement myself - with one line added in from our Admin:-)
I will be very much involved with the hiring, training, etc. of all of the "Mod Editors" - so I'll still be around and involved with the modding communities for some little time yet (I propsed this - pushed for it - so I'll be damned if I am going to settle for less than the kind of mod reporting I am accustomed to doing:-)
Incidentally - should any of you feel that you qualify - then feel free to apply (though I warn you - for my own part - I'll be looking only for the very best people to become RPGDot Mod Editors:-)
So - until then - I hope you will all understand. I'm sure that we'll miss more than a few mod reports for now - that is both unfortunate, and regretable - but cannot be helped for now. The main thing is that I am now working on making mod reporting (for all modding communities) an integral part of daily RPGDot.
Thank you all!!
