Hello all, im starting a new game called "sw-kotor 3: Battle of ___"
it will be a complete reskin, different races, new planets(i hope)
new items etc.. But back to my question.
Can anyone tell me where i can change the starting movie? because what i want to do is change the place you start at so i can go from there and make my mods.
ps. if anyone still remembers me, im the guy who made "battle on dantooine" mod and had a blast making it. I saw that kotor 2 was comming out and desided to give modding a kotor 3 a shot. If anyone wants to help out on different departments (voice, reskins, new items etc.. let me know)

ok, i got my other duplicate posts deleted. not sure why that happend. anywhoo. I've been away to long and i can't remember alot of what i did and how i did things hehe trying to get back in the grove.
Exactly how big of a game, because KOTOR: AE is sort of a kotor 1.5.
Depends on how many i can get to help me. i could use help in the following.
1. voices
2. reskins ( play as human,twilek,yoda style)
3. new items
4. movies ( maybe if it can be done)
5. scripting & moding (me & others)
6. new planets & new ship ( going to take some help doing these 2)
and as i said before ( i think i did my post got lost so i had to repost) This is kotor 3 after kotor 2 and its 1k years before the first movie. and will have the following planets to name off (if possible)
1. Corrisaunt ( just a few areas sorta like taris)
2. More cities on tatooine
3. naboo
4. and more..
I already got a little done not much. i got the launcher changed over. and i got my character voiced (npc) for some parts.
this is just iceing on the cake. the more we can edit the game the more advanced it will be.
Cool, Kotor: AE is a little farther in progress because I have alot of support. Movies can be made with 3d max but you need to be able to extract some of the existing models like the ebon hawk to do them. I don't know if cchargin got that far, but I have a model extractor that should do the trick, if I can ever get the download from Element X that is. We also have the launcher changed and some new models made but we really havent gotten into voice acting yet as it is a thing that should be added close to the end of development. Good luck with your game/mod at any rate.
This sounds pretty ambitious...and really cool...
I'll offer my help, although because of work, I can't give you a guarantee on exactly how much time I can dedicate. I can script and create items. I have zero photoshop talent, so I can't do any textures.

T7, yea im going to finish it inbetween this. not a lot left to do. fix it to go directly to dantooine after the cutsceens of leaving the lev. and do a little touch up. and more "brush" (smoke & rocks)

I'm willing to give a hand. I don't have much expertise, but I've done some reskining and work with uti files; just send me a pm if there's anything I can help with.
Nobody has yet to answer my main question. whitch script or file is it in that tells it to play the first movie or go to the first location? i need this info so i can start on my mod. i used to know but going away for almost a year you kinda forget things.
talking about after character creation it sends you to the cutsceen of you waking up on the ship. i want to change where it send you to a new cutsceen or place.
ok, ive been having a hunt around and i cant find anything. I can't find any triggers, waypoints, encounters etc. with reference to spawning somewhere after a cutscene.
But its only been a brief search.
Where are the cutscene reference files/scripts etc. i cant seem to see them in kotor tool (not the actualy video file!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

check RIMS -> Modules -> end_m01aa_s.rimm -> -> Script, Compiled.
there seem to be references to scripts for cutscenes, but we cant decompile the ncs files so i guesss we wont know boo., im going to look in nwnscript.nss file for something.............
yea, sucks, not sure what im going to do :/ not unless someone can look at it and make an uncompiled version :/
Every tried to use a decompiler of a c++ development kit (borland,microsoft or so) ?
