After a month long hiatus, my server is finally returning!
Feel free to add to your favorites and look it up (at the NEW IP) anytime.
As usual, rule-free server for lots of fun and mayhem, whiners will be laughed at and hunted down. ; )
If you find that it's down for a bit, don't worry, I may have a few bugs to work out of my system after the upgrade/repairs.

man, i really liked the bots on your server. they were always mad crazy, almost as good as people, or maybe i'm just that bad :p
it was funny when some h0n0rplayer came in and yelled "LAMER" at the Chewbacca bot. Ahh, memories.

I had to take the server down for awhile last night to test something on another server. I also had to do some maintainance at 1pm CST today on the server, but never fear, it should be ready to go again soon!

I was in there earlier, it was confusing because I didn't know who was a bot and who wasn't, I left because it was getting boring with no one else around.
If you can't tell the bots from the humans that says something good about my bots (and something bad about the other folks maybe!). =)
Anyway thanks for the support folks, as always.
PS: IG-64, if you see a guy in there with 0 ping and his name isn't "Kurgan" (me) then he's a bot. But don't tell the n00bs!

I gathered that much. :p Speaking of pings, i'm with william, I was lagging in there with just myself. My ping got up to 800+.
Btw, I had the pleasure of meating meeting "wolfman" :p
EDIT: Dude, your server is whacked, I keep warping around and stopping and starting again and my moves cycle and repeat themselves, everytime I o to attack a bot it warpes somewhere and i'll like, slash it and my saber will go through it a second, then I will die, and when I jump I land somewhere else from where I was aiming, and then i'll warp to the edge the warp off the edge and then i'll be in the lava, but walking under the lava and not dead, then i'll jump to land and walk around a bit, and then i'll die. The bot's say stuff and act like humans and dissapear and kill me and warp places. It's giving me a headache. :yodac:

I just noticed some guy named Cormack was "kicked" even though I never kicked him (wasn't trying to kick anyone for that matter!).
Maybe my settings got goofed up somehow between Jan 18th and today... ; p
I noticed you were connecting just now then I was kicked and couldn't get back in, then the server's ping went to 9999 and was empty...

Okay I checked and I'm able to play fine, but pings DO seem a bit higher (almost double what they should be) than they should be, probably a bad day for my ISP (I hear they merged with MSN, which is a bad sign).
If it gets too bad I'll reboot the server and see if that helps, if not just try joining later on and see if it's improved.
I know I've said it before, but my patience with this ISP is wearing very thin, and if I can find something better (within my budget) I am going to seriously consider switching.
PS: Thanks to all the LFNers that joined, brings a tear to my eye to relive the good times in the game!

ALRIGHT! I was wondering what happend, i got the game for christmas, and was looking for your server, and could never find it... even though i had seen it in ASE several times :D Ill be stopping by... right about ... now! :D
See if somebody would give me a better server for free that would be awesome, I'd take it in a heartbeat, on one condition:
I get to run it however I choose (like now). No pandering to "honor" or "role playing" or forced to use somebody's mod if I don't want to, etc.
Long as I get to control it I'm not particular... ; )

bots disgust me. all they do is run backwards and attack with force. I like playing with ppl who know how to use a saber.
Are you just saying that or have you played the custom improved bots on my server?
Trust me, they are MUCH better than the bots that came packaged with the game. I use the custom routes and tweaked botfiles created by DDS as well as a motley crew of bots I created... ; )
PS: Server will be down for a few hours (estimate) tonight will I upgrade a few things.
Kurgan, why not order a server from gam3rz.co.uk (if you could afford it) and give us a nice Deathmatch server? I could come then, because I always avoid american servers, they give me huge pings, and are almost always packed with whining little brats or all sorts of weirdo's.
No whining brats on my server, but weirdos, well I can't say there aren't a few of them. ; )
PS: Sorry to hold up the fun (yet again) but I hit a snag with my OS so I'm reinstalling everything. Hopefully the server will be back up by tomorrow (but maybe later tonight if I'm lucky).

The only mods I'm running at the moment are the JA Bonus MapPack, DDS Ibots, DDS Rerouted and my own custom bots.
The main thing is that everybody get the bonus pack before joining, the rest you can autodownload in a very short time. But if somebody tries to download the mappack from the server they'll be waiting a long time. Heh.

Okay here's the deal (thanks to Andy for helping me test).
The other day I installed Win2kPro because 98se was having problems booting (so I'm now on a dual-boot setup, but only 2k works properly). I thought I wouldn't have to reinstall everything because JA worked fine. I can run the server and join it and play.
HOWEVER, it's not showing up in ASE and nobody can connect to it.
So for now I'm freeing up space so I can reinstall JA on the 2k setup.
So please be patient. I would have had it done by now but we had a power outage on my block this afternoon! ; p

Do you have the patch and bonus map pack IG? You need it to join kurgan's server. (Go see the thread in deditcated forum for the files you need)

yeah its gone :( one of the only fun servers out there. :( I mean, there are others, but this one was cool.......

Well I just got the internet back and I'm trying to get things running again. Feel free to keep trying as I try to get the server going this morning.
I'll give it a try tonight... :)
It's up right now (6:18pm CST) and it will likely be up until midnight, then it'll be down for a few hours while I test something on another server.
Afterward I'll probably bring it back up until whenever.
Finally, late Wednesday night or later it will be going down.
So all I can say is just keep checking it if you want to join. Hopefully next week and then on I can have it up more regularly.
Just the problems with my pc/ISP have made it hard to host in the past weeks.
Update: Haven't had many joiners today, so I'm taking the server down from 11:00pm CST to about 12:30 or so. It'll be back up when I'm done testing.
