This goes out more to the team than anyone, but the rest of you can take a peak if you want...

Kyle's model is essentially done. I have him fully capped and segmented, facial weighting is done, he has 3 additional LoD's, and am working on tweaking the final textures up right now (as well as adjusting them for in-game lighting) .

I'll have it done in a day or two. And for those wondering about MP... I already have bots and team skins done as well.....

ROFL "Some assembly required" :p :p. And Geoffrey, he probably was playing on Jedi Master difficulty, because you start out with 50 health instead of 100. and i notice that theres an external blaster model coming along ;).

About the damage on me in the shot...

Actually... I just started it up on the default difficulty... then just did some quick running n' gunning through the base to see how he looked third person....

Then I wanted to do some saber fighting... so I spawned a bunch of reborns, took them out...

...but the last damage came from spawning a kyle npc to lop him to pieces... forgot that he'd switch to whatever weapon I was using, and he poked me in the face with his saber... :D

I'll post a real shot of him later today...

Well, Kyle will be released for mp/sp before the mod is finished, most likely within the next week or two....

It also sounds as if there will be a demo update, which would include this for those who want to run around it in 3rd person.

Well, he's basically done now.... I might do a minor texture touch up or two, but that's about it.

I've decided since that there is already a 'Dark Forces Kyle" out there, I'll call my model "Mercenary Kyle". Just a name change for the file's public release....

He is pretty much fully featured.... He has team skins, bots, 4 lods, and has facial and hand animations for LODs 1 and 2.

I didn't add any custom sounds, but felt the default Kyle ones were good enough.

It's not on any of the sites yet, but I'm sure it will be very soon. I'm going to bed now. I'm looking forward to downloading it tomorrow. It feels a bit like Christmas Eve, if you know what I mean. (presents-wise;) )

Wow...this model rocks! I've had tons of fun on multiplayer defeating JO Kyles and hacking up stormies and reborn in single player. I have a question. Could it be possible for me to replace the Kyle model in the DF demo with this one?

I used the version of the JO demo map that loads into the full game while also having the DF mod demo elements loaded so that the JO demo mission would look like a DF mission, Moldy Crow and all. It worked okay. It was also my first chance to see the Crow since it doesn't appear in the DF mod demo when I play it on my Mac for some reason.

The Kyle model truly rocks. He looks spectacular when loaded into JO SP and brought to life in the cutscenes. With this kind of quality it sure would be awesome if the DF mod cutscenes could be done in-engine but I guess the plan is to use pre-rendered?

Man this model is pretty sweet. My favorite thing is the jacket. Never seen anything so primitive as a jacket look so good lol.

One of my favorite things to do with the model is to duel players who are using the default Kyle model, beat them, and say "Your past has come back to haunt you!":D
