I'm going for realistic... sorry about the editor shots but my computer has a very lovely bug where anytime I try to play ANY game it decides to crash to a blue screen (in XP none the less) and reboot... oh well. Just working on architecture. It's been maybe like a week or so since I started it... then again I am not working on it a lot! :p

P.S.

This is my first semi-serious attempt at editing anything since JK2. Might I add... JED was so much effing easier!

Not bad. I've got some constructive comments for you.

The glass texture is repeating too much. Try and stretch it out a bit.

Some of the curves would be better done with patches rather than brushes.

Some things on the map look a little big (such as the wood on the windows).

A good start, though.

Your basic architecture looks very, very good, but you now need to work on the texturing. It's quite bland as of now, and as Eldritch said, the glass repeats too much. Use the "set" tool and try fitting the glass texture on the window.

I'm assuming those are only temorary textures boinga, which is why I didn't mention the "blandness."

And you use the Surface Inspector tool (press 'S' in Radiant) to adjust how textures are applied.

Yes, they are temporary textures. Thus why they aren't stretched or stiched. :p

I stated it was just architecture... I wanted some feedback, on it... and only got two replies so I'm guessing there isn't much interest...

I would suggest adding a lamp post or a model bench. That way your town would look more like a small town. Heck, you might just want to make a bus stop.

LOL! But yes, from experience I do advise you to stretch your glass textures to avoid that "pixely" look. Also, as Eldritch said, patches would look better then the brushes for curves and the like.

I think it looks pretty sweet and looks like a map that is going to be fun.

I cant agree more

But you need some more detail to truly call it a great map. Try searching for some vibrant colors that will stand out and attract people :)
