You might have better luck in the LucasArts support forums (http://forums.lucasarts.com), as I've never seen this error before. Note: If you have an account on the StarWars.com forums, you can also use it on the LucasArts forums....  [Read More]

It was X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter that had the "Balance of Power" expansion. The one for TIE Fighter was titled "Defender of the Empire". In any event, you get all of the expansions for X-Wing and TIE Fighter in the Collector Series....  [Read More]
Since you have TIE95, which runs on the same engine as XW95, running, I think you did everything OK. I'm beginning to suspect a corrupt disk. You might want to head over to the LucasArts support forums (http://forums.lucasarts.com) and post everythin...  [Read More]
I'd try creating a shortcut directly to the XWing95.exe file rather than use the launcher. It should prompt you to insert the CD at an appropriate moment. If this fails, try a reinstall of XW95....  [Read More]

Seems to me you've completed the first battle. At the place where you select the battle, just select the next one. Though it also appears to me the battles are shorter (in number of missions) in TIE Fighter. Which group of missions did you complete?...  [Read More]

Well, I think we deduced that the XWCS looks for the CD in the optical drive with the lowest letter, no matter what the Registry says. It should make no difference which one you use for audio, but if you really want your faster drive to have the lowe...  [Read More]

Emkay1001 on the LucasArts support forums suggests making sure the CD is in the optical drive you installed the game from. If you had removable storage devices on lower letters than your optical drive (say, you had a thumb drive on D: and your DVD bu...  [Read More]

You should probably double-check and see that you have music checked in your options. If this doesn't help, I suggest a post in the LucasArts support forums (http://forums.lucasarts.com), as I don't know of a fix offhand (you will probably need to re...  [Read More]
