Unrelated, but I feel it's an important point-- you don't need a signature from a religious leader to get an Eagle Scout. I'm an Eagle, and I've always been an atheistic heathen. Didn't prevent me from earning the rank, nor was there a signature line...  [Read More]

Never knew there was a procedure like that. Isn't it essentially the same as requesting ex-communication (versus being ex-communicated)? I think excommunication means you're no longer part of the church. Being unbaptized seems to be a bit different....  [Read More]

@GTA: I actually find myself agreeing with most of your points. The religion itself isn't bad, but the people are. The problem is, when bad people run a religion, that in turn leads to others thinking that the religion itself is bad, since the impres...  [Read More]

I have a friend who was working for a law firm that was defending priests. Why? Because some unscrupulous people have been suing innocent priests, thinking they can get in on the lawsuit cash cow. The guilty need to be convicted and make restitution,...  [Read More]

As Smith was floating around the city, he noticed several oddly dressed individuals - though he himself did admit that his clothing was a bit odd as well - gathering in a park area. He floated down towards the group, but did not get off the light pla...  [Read More]

Mark Smith read the letter he had received, and looked out over the city he had been directed to go to. He did have to wonder what had happened - the city was pretty much deserted, and there wasn't even a criminal to be found. I must have ate someth...  [Read More]
Kerlos set to work trying to place up deterrents against the zombies, or whatever those things were. He had some difficulty in reactivating the auto-turrets; not only were his technical skills a bit mediocre, but he also had to manipulate the switche...  [Read More]
"Sounds like a plan," Kerlos responded. "So, I guess that means I'll wait here and listen for any response, and that also means I'll have to have to make a clear path to the hangar." Kerlos thought for a minute, and then asked a q...  [Read More]
