There is a lot of evidence to support "happiness" in Scandinavian countries. A quick look at this link (http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=4116) will demonstrate the level of freedoms they enjoy. This is an index of "freedom of the press," but I've seen similar indices of other freedoms that reflect the same trends. The United States, of course, is near the top of the list, but is still out-done by Norway, Finland, Iceland, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark among others... many of which were tied for their places.

This kind of information makes it easy to plan out-of-country vacations :cool:
