Using the NumPad in Last Crusade?

I'm running last crusade 256 version with ScummVM and everything works fine except I can't use the number pad on the right side of the keyboard for fighting. NumLock has no effect, though I seem to remember it fixing the problem in FOA or some other game. The NumPad works fine normally see: 7945416+7. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

ScummVM doesnt support the keypad in Last Crusade atm

could have sworn this worked before the keyboard navigation stuff went in... (some time ago now)
