Listen we all bought your games and gave you our money already. ( :) ) Sorry but, all the popups on this site is making it fell like a cheap porno site, we expect better from a company that makes sweet games and has the most succesful franchises in the entertainment industry.
It's one thing to have one or two popups, it's gets borderline ridiculous on having it on every page of a forum and even have redirection links embedded in every link. Don't know if this is a coding error yet but I need to go back about five pages (skipping over all the ad links form UGO.COM) just to go back one real forum page page.
We know you need some ads to keep the forum running (although since it is the official forums for a game lucas produced, it should really have little to no adds), but what you have here rivals the online casinos.
The only thing you have not done so far is sell my email address to mailing lists... is that what's next? :D
These forums are not owned or maintained in any way by LucasArts. We're all just a bunch of dedicated fans. :) Things cost a lot of money. The ads are a necessary evil for now.

What Rhett said.. :D also, i would like to point out, that these arnt simply Jedi Knight 2 forums, there are forums for nearly every game that LucasArts has produced. :D
The reason I thought this was a lucas forum, was exactly because there is a forum for every single lucas game that was made... well Zak mc kraken doesn't have a forum to my great dismay but.... oh well. :D
With a forum like this which heavily advertises the LucasArts games you should be able to make wonderful income by clickthroughs to the lucasarts site and other gaming sites/etc.
Sorry for asuming it was a LucasArts owned forum... that teaches me to rush to conclusions without having the full info. But nevertheless, the owners of this forum I hope are aware that their forum really rivals the cheapest trash on the net when compared to spam content. I have popup killer, and I block out all the ad banners as well, they are nicely redirected to a page which is nice and blank.
Am I the only one that has to skip over 5 redirection links to go back one real thread? It makes forum use extremely frustrating. When yo uclick back, you want to go back, not click back 6 times to go back only 1 page.
Have you never seen the flash-java ads that pop inside the main window and scol down to wherever you are looking at. They are well done, unintrusive and can be closed easily. They are the only ads I actually bother reading because they have an artistic content that is worth attention. All the redirection links, popups seperate windows, fake buttons are only annoying attempts at advertising and are met by frustration from 90% of the people who see them. :)
