First of all, great site! I grew up with these Lucasarts Games, and it's great to revisit them.

Second, has anyone here done any research into the engine of the Humongous Entertainment games (e.g. Putt-Putt)? I know that these are running a SCUMM engine, since Ron Gilbert founded Humongous. If not, how would I go about looking into the datafiles?

Thanks!! :)

There are some that use a standard version of SCUMM and these are playable to varying degrees on scummvm I think.
There are some humongous games however that use scumm but are more modified, im not sure about these. Ive never had access to a humongous game to see.

I've made a short incomplete list of humongous games. the demo versions of which all seem to indicate they are using SCUMM. It can be found here http://users.bigpond.net.au/tgray2/humongous.txt)
thanks to travan for supplying me some of the version numbers (I don't own any myself, yet).
Included is the interpreter version if it could be easily found in the games, the windows version largely don't seem to have this but they include the name of the directory the code was in which I have included.

There are apparently "over 50 different games" they did in SCUMM according to the game scripting in python presentation they did for GDC 2002. Link here: http://www.cygnus-software.com/papers/gamescriptinginpython.html)

ScummVM will only play the putt putt goes to the parade demo at this time, and possibly the full game but I can't test that. The other games have a few opcodes that need to be implemented and possibly other things.

I actually opened a humomogous game on SCUMMRev once... and it worked! it didn't work 100% like some of the images didn't show right and so forth. But I remebered that overall it loaded the tree structure fine.... so it's very similar to LEC SCUMM.
