Why would we want to have a thread about the forum dying?

It was a question not a statement.

Also, it had been a couple of days with no posts.
In other words my question whether or not the forum was dead caused more activity than there had been for a number of days.

That fact that people saw it means the people are coming here, they just aren't posting.

There are only about four regulars here, alas. [Old man voice]I remember what it was like in the good old days, there was much discussion and the forum was very much alive. It was my favorite spot. And then JediknightII.net moved in, and it was like a dark shadow came over us, and took us out of the land. There were only a few survivors left, and . .. . .haaaacccccckkkkk! Cough! *Thump* [/ Old man voice]

But seriously, I was around when it was alive, but I was just a guest that never posted anything.

hmm, they need to move the JPB forum back here.
And then we need some other forums back too. And meh... JKII can disappear lol. The day that thing appeared this board flooded empty like an aquarium with the side wall knocked out.

Its amazing! In the relativly short time that Jediknightii.net has been around, it has gotten several times more posts than even the oldest forums.

Meh. It would've been even better if I'd been able to find a screencap of Draco lying in the mud, from DragonHeart.

Lousy useless image searches. :snear:

hehe, that's why I like DVDs, then I just need to take a screenshot, resize it, upload it and hey hey, I can use the exact frame that I wanted.

How do you take a screenshot during a DVD?

I've never actually tried it, but I think if you hit the print screen button then paste into something, it will do it

hmm, not quite, I tried print screening it, but you only get a white or black image. But the program I use to watch my DVDs with (Power DVD) has a nicely screen grabbing function built into it so all I need to do is hit "C" et voilа , I got a screenshot. ^_^

Hey, this forum isn't dead until the greatest player on earth of SP Jedi Knight says it is. You hear me?! HUH!!!???

Anyhoo, it's not dead...yet. the thing is that Jedi Knight is still a more incredible game than JKII when you look at it. Sure JKII has the suped up force powers, better graphics, and more lightsaber moves, but the original JK still captivates me more, holds more memories for me, frustrated me more, and challenged me more than JKII did. So, eventually JKII will fade away as just the okay game that it is, and people that have never discovered JK will start hunting it down once they play JKII. When that happens, these forums will live again. For how long? I have no idea. Some games are beyond incredible, but no game is immortal.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, there are games that are well over a decade old that are still being played today.(Monkey Island 1 being a nice example) But anyways, this board is more than about just JK. Plenty of other games are discussable here.. but strangely enough hardly anyone comes around for them. Bah ^.^
