Hm. I've looked through both asset pk3 files and have found no player model in MD3 file format. Where are they at? I'd really like to find them, to make skinning easier, so I can just open the meshes in NMD3 instead of loading up a lan game with my brother to check to see if the skin looks okay...any ideas where the MD3's are at?
Appearantly Raven stepped of the md3 format. What you can try to do is get the editor of the sof2 skinning contest and see if you can open the jk2 models with that.

(on a side note, make sure the .glm files are in the programs directory-but itll prolly give some error saying...need animations _humanoid.glm....whatever...try it yourself
Ok, cool, I've emailed you with my details.
I've since got a hold of the program for myself, so if you see this it doesn't matter. I am having the same problem as you though regarding geting it configured. Theres a couple of skins I want to make urgently :)
one thing that i had noticed where there were infact md3 files were the lightsabre models, i believe... take a look in the models/sabres directories (luke-sabre, desann, etc)
:)
