Hi,

I have a serious problem. Neither the demo nor the full version seems to run on my system. The launcher runs correctly, but when starting the main game, all I get is a black screen with flickering white dots. No ALT-TAB, no ALT-F4, not CTRL-ALT-DEL, nothing works anymore, the system is totally locked up.

I've already tried a lot, including the 800x600x16 desktop "fix"...

Here are my system details:
ABIT KT7A RAID (+newest VIA drivers)
AMD Duron 800
256 MB RAM (133MHz)
Windows 2000 Professional (DirectX 8.1)
Matrox G400 MAX (+newest drivers)
TerraTec DMX XFire 1024 (+newest drivers)
Enough diskspace

PLEASE HELP ME!!! I WANT TO PLAY IT!!! ;)

Thanx!

800 MHz

... look at my posting ... ;)

Any idea what causes this bug?

I don't even care why i get to see that flood of white dots, it could be pink elephants either. I only want to know why I CANT PLAY the game!!

Begging for help,
Thomas

What is your graphics card???
And how much mb is it???

Also have you called your computer hotline???(if you have one)
If you don't have one go to a local computer store...take your spec with you and see if you can ask their expert...they might know how to fix you problem...

Hi,

1)
Why do you think do I post my system specs?!
Read it, and you don't have to ask what my graphics card is.

2)
Do you think I'm stupid?!
Why should I call a damn hotline or ask my "local seller"?!
Ever tried **** like this?

3)
I already found a workaround for the problem...
Try to reduce the hardware acceleration in the troubleshooting section of Win2k one step. Works fine for me!

I use '98, not 2000, so this might not be relevent, and it seems like you've found a way to solve it, but... you might want to check your version of DirectX, and do the thing where it 'calibrates' DirectX for you. If your DirectX drivers (or whatever the win 2000 equivalent of DirectX, if any, is) aren't "set up" right, no matter how recent they are, it could cause conflicts (annoyingly).

Seems like you've got it working though. Great! It's a sweet game. You will enjoy it.

May the Force be with you.
