"Wookies appear as a fighting force in the tutorial campaign, where players will learn the game's basic mechanics by assuming the role of Chewbacca's father, Attichitcuk. The Wookies also return for the final campaign, in which Chewie must fight to liberate Kashyyyk. OOM-9's efforts to crush the Gungans will be the focus of the trade federation campaign, and the Gungans make a major appearance as well. The Gungan campaign culminates with the clash between the Gungans and the Trade Federation. While the Naboo don't have a full campaign of their own, an RSF division rounds out the playable armies available in Multiplayer and Skirmish modes. -- GB Preview, SW Gamer Magazine
Is this the way it seems? The Naboo are already the underdogs (I don't know anyone who wants to use them) and they don't even have a scenario! :( Any thoughts?
Also could someone explain RSF to me! :D
I really don't like the Naboo, and know of no one that does..
They should have either merged the Naboo and the Gungans into one civ, since they do live on the same planet or picked a whole different civ.
The Naboo are a peaceful people! The Ewoks are more violent then them!!
You've got have the naboo, even if they don't have the campaign. They were in the movie for goodness sake, and they want the civs that are in the movies, not the EU.
I don't think their actually bad........just very unpopular.

Well, I try the Naboo sometime. I like their starships. And thet's true they want civs from the movies. That's why they should use Mon Cal and Trandoshans in the x-pack.

Since they don't have a campaign, thats even more of a reason they should have merged the Gungans with them!
They could have picked the Ewoks instead Tie ;)
NO! No Ewoks, period.
I don't tihkn that a merged naboo/gungans would work either. How would you decide which of the two civs units to use. Or, you would have two of everything.

They would function exactly like a civi, except some would be gungans and others would be the Naboo. It was just an idea.
BTW I'm joking about the Ewoks!! :D
i think the naboo and gungan civs should be separated. they may have strengths that we don't know of that when combined could be a problem and make them a super civ.

Well they could rearange everything so they are not a Super civi. I know it's not going to happen, I was just stating what I would have done.
tie I just wnat to know what is wrong with the ewoks????
I think it would be cool, and very hard to play as the ewoks. :ewok: :ewok: :ewok: :ewok:

I know your not directing the question to me but the thing that turned me away from them is that they have NO starships. They are too primitive to have them :)
Yeah...the problem with Ewoks is similar to the problem with my Tusken Raiders ;)

There are 6 civs and all of them have a campiagn. "These six campaigns will be split into six missions each, with you controlling the action with six familiar civilizations: the Rebel Alliance, Trade Federation, Gungans, Royal Naboo, Galactic Empire, and everyone's favorite furballs the Wookiees. "--IGN preview
Well, if you think of it that way, Wookiees shouldn't have been in the game in the first place.
The only Wookiee you see throughout the original trilogy is Chewbacca, and in the prequel you see a one second shot of wookiee senators.. Hardly enough to 'feature' them I'd say..
More likely they went in and thought up the 6 civs that they felt would best suit the game at first.

I think he is talking to everyone.
I think that we should promote quoting more often :)
The civs are right as they are. Mon Calamari should be in the x-pack.

Would you settle for Querren? :)
Well, honestly, I don't know much about the Quarren.
But although many of you have keep saying Mon Cal wouldn't be right. I think they do.
They have starships, they have soldiers, good technology, and a great navy.

But they are part of the Rebels ;)
But really Compa, who else has been saying the MonCals aren't right for a civi? I think it's just me saying it, over, and over and over again :D

Yeah, but trust me, you WON'T SEE a single Mon Cal with the rebels in the game.
Well, I had the impression there had been more people, if it isn't, then you have posted it so many times, it seemed you weren't the only one. :D
BTW, you don't want them just because they're rebels?

Yeah, it's sad. I really like Mon Cals, but I see them as part as the rebels and therefore they can't be a seperate civi.
But since they aren't going to be part of the rebels (in the game), I think you have a good chance of seeing them in the Ex.
I really wish they put aliens in with the rebels. It makes them seem to similar to the imps, without them. :(
Look, every civ will have a campain. The TF,Gungans, AND the naboo will have all of the battle for naboo(TF first, then gungan, then both naboo and gungan). The Rebels,Wookiees, and the Imperials will have Episodes 4+
Kvan, here I found something at Star Wars.com:
The Mon Calamari had been fighting the Empire for years before they joined the Alliance.
That's why they can be a separate civi. :)

Ok, we know that. Do YOU think the Naboo should have been included?
BTW Not being mean, but impossible is spelled like that, not with an "a". :D I just thought you should know since it's in your sig and you post it evertime you post.

Ok, I give!
I guess the end of the Mon Cal Campiagn would be joining the Rebels. Plus the do have an interesting story in the Essential guide to planets. It seems that a quarren lowered the MonCals defenses so the imps could lay seige to them..I'm sure that would make an interesting story..:)
The reason why the Naboo must be in the game, is beacuse they have cool starships. :naboo: :naboo: :naboo:
Actually, its coz the naboo arein the movie and they needed an extra civ.

NEW INFO ALERT!!!
In the SW Gamer Preview it says,"The team has also invented new vehicles for each army, including a 'Wookiee Speeder' and AND a Naboo weapon-of-war known as the Steadfast.
That thing may help the Naboo out! Any ideas what it could be? :amidala:

My guess is the Steadfast moves fast? :)
The Wookiee Speeder sounds a little funny. Just call it a speeder.
I didn't know the naboo had any weapons of war, all they have is a few squads of N-1s and some royal guards and thats about it.

Naboo giant speeder probably.:dtrooper: :chewie: :dtrooper:
You know they have vehicles in the movie. Don't you remember the one that destroyed the TF tank with only a few hits as a diversion? Ill bet there are going to be variations on that design. Also, play the game Battle for Naboo it has a load of new designs in it. I hope they include the naboo bomber from that game.
Yeah, the Flash and Gian speeders are almost certainly i nthe game, and those were awesome. The Gian speeder was my favorite in BFN.
As for the "Steadfast," do you think that it mught be that big blue speeder they have in that one screenshot?

Because of the battle for Naboo game, i don't mind if they are in Battleground. I will play them, like all 5 other civs. I think that each civ will be very distinct, that's good.
AS for mon cal in the ex-pack why not, but remember they are essentially a sea civ. I am wishing for more bad guys civs also.

Like who? Clones from epi. 2? That one race that I can't think of from epi. 2?

i think the steadfast will be the naboo mounted trooper
In the MFO preview, it mentioned that the Royal Naboo Knight (or whatever the UU is called) was not included in the version they were playing, so maybe they are still working on the Naboo and this is why we haven't heard as much about them as the others.
I think a cool bad guy civ would be the sith. There seems to be some history there. They could be weak in mechs and air, but very strong in jedi, infantry, and have a very strong economy (due to the inslaved sith). This civ would have about as much a connection to the movies as do the wookies, and it would interesting to see. :maul: :vadar: :holosid:
That large speeder may be the Steadfast! Too bad it isn't firing. :D
he sith would never work. How could you have any ground forces if your enitre civ were jedi? Don't you think that would be a little cheap to have only jedi? Or stupid if they have regular troops in a "sith" civ?
Yes, I agree. No civ could be jedi based. It just wouldn't work.
If I remember my star wars history correctly, the sith aren't all jedi, in fact it seems to me that the sith themselves were a people group which were enslaved by some dark jedi way back in the past and that is why the dark jedi are called Sith Lords or Masters of the Sith. I believe that the dark jedi used the newly enslaved sith as an infrastructure to launch a major assault on the republic a long time before the time of episode 1. The jedi were able to eventually beet the dark jedi, now known as sith masters, back, and then they disapperaed. I can't remember exactly where I saw this, I think it might have been in the Star Wars CD-ROM released several years ago (I believe the title was behind the magic). Anyway, I was thinking that if this is all correct then you could have a civ based on this story.
Mesa like the Naboo, I think they're gonna be pretty cool Persanolly I can't wait to see thier speeders in action.

No the Sith are Dark Jedi. Massissi are the slaves you were refering to.:xizor:
No, dvader07 is right. The Sith were an ancient race that the Dark Jedi enslaved.
The Sith originally were a race of people inhabiting a planet by the same name. About two thousand years before the birth of Anakin Skywalker, a small segment of the Jedi decided to follow the Dark Side of The Force. These Jedi were banished by the Jedi council and found refuge on the planet Sith. The Jedi were thought of as gods by the Sith and they easily conquered the planet and enslaved the Sith. This group of Dark Jedi later became known as the Sith and were led by the strongest of their number, who were given the title "Dark Lord of the Sith."
