Are the Naboo as bad as they seem?

I think its a great idea to include both the Gungans and the Naboo. Just because we didnt get to see them kick ass in Episode I doesnt mean they arent any good...we had like 3 whole movies to see all the good stuff that the empire and the rebellion had. Yeah the Trade Federation kicked butt, but they needed to for the plot of the movie and to get the queen to Tatooine so Anakin could get the hots for her. The more civs the better! :D

I like the Naboo because of their starships. Their architecture is also cool.

Welcome Darth Maul Jr. I think most people don't like the Naboo is because there isn't much info out on them as all the other civs. The Gungans even have more info. All we know about the Naboo is the have a Knight and that they might be getting an economy bonus...MIGHT

And that they have the steadfast, which is supposed to be really good. Also, they have the flash and gian speeder, as well as the naboo bomber and N-1. We know more about them than the gungans really.

umm, i don't think so. combining all the resources out there (trade magazines, other websites, etc). i think we know just as much of gungans or a little more than the naboo.

not really. All we know about the gungans are the troops, the cavalry things, the shields, the sub, and the catapult. The naboo have the gian speeder, the flash speeder, the N-1, the naboo bomber, the knight, the security troopers, the steadfast, and some others. Which one has more units? the naboo.

yeah we know some of the units, but if you look at many of the screenshots, there aren't that many of the buildings described for the naboo. also, we know that the gungans have underwater houses and that fishing boats build them. we don't even know of the naboo royal guard too much, how they're houses/farms will look like, etc.

yeah, but we only know like 2 of the gungan building also. And we can see a guard tower and another building. Also, we know alot about their architechure style.

true, but in reference to knowing a lot about naboo, we know units titles but not much about their features, descriptions, etc. heavengames.com has a good list of units. there, they have around 10 or more gungan units listed as compared to three naboo units. eitherway, i'm a wookie fan but i'm pretty sure all the civs in this game should be enjoyable to play.

welcome gs (sorry, i can't bring myseld to call you god), are you really G's sibling. Bro or sis?

Thats sounds like it may be true. Especially sense they haven't released anything on the UU of the naboo, and they weren't even in the game when the testers went over to play it, blue myrriden and Mr. Fixit.

There is nothing wrong with saying God. You know just a couple of days abo I was talking to fergie(through pm) and it wouldn't let me say Satan. It kept blocking it out...but now it works. Strange..

I don't have a problem with saying God, i say it all he time. I do have a problem with calling someone else god, or a god. Also, there is nothing wrong with Satan, or Hell for that matter, only when you use them in the wrong contect, or use it to slander someone.

Like Tie might go to hell? ;) I see what your saying.
But god is using a lower case 'g', that makes all the difference..

I know, but i just don't like saying "Hey, god" it just doesn't sound right, "G" sounds fine for me.

I agree with TIE. I think that G is perfedtly fine. Everyone else has a nick name (TIEguy - TIE, darthfergie - fergie or stupid ;), thrawn12786 - Thrawn) What's wrong with nicknames?

j/k fergie about the stupid part *bash, bash* :D

BTW how do I make a banner for my site like that?

It was my brothers idea to be called god and i just couldn't think of a good name:confused:, but i did come up with the idea for my signature. I was the one interested in the game in the first place and he is a big AOK fan so he likes it too.

Arn't we supposed to be talking about Naboo?

i still think that sucks, i wisht that they had more civs also

everyone agrees that more civs would have been nice, but for fans of SW who are not familiar with the vongs and such that putting in the 6 civs with characters everyone has seen in the movies would be good enough. ewoks are in the scenario editor, and i'm hoping they put in another 3-6 civs for an expansion. lucasarts doesn't make expansions for every game they make (such as the 2 previous rts games and xwa) so i guess it really depends on how successful this game is.

thanks for bringing this more on-topic, Jay.
Now folks, please start a new thread once a discussion like this pops up in a game-specific thread like this.
Surely we don't have to remind you CONSTANTLY ?
The ones posting here have been around long enough to know this by now.

I'm sure the Naboo will be able to hold their own in a battle. And judging from the screenshots, they have some amazing looking buildings. It's true that looks don't kill in the game, but if it did... :D
The Naboo will have the works; speeders, fighters, soldiers... no reason at all to doubt their fighting force. I think they lack a campaign because it would overlap the TF and Gungan-campaigns to a degree.

About the Naboo and Gungan being merged, I hope you don't mean merged into one civ because they are definitely going to be seperate civs. However, I do recall reading that one of the campaigns is the battle of Naboo and in that you will play both gungans and Naboo.
