What tools do I need, and how hard is it to model new weapons for Quake III. I'd like to work on some custom blasters and weapons for Jedi Outcast when it comes out.

Check our Radiant Editor Resources and Links Thread (http://209.126.167.135/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23998). Look for 3d modeling links under the '3D Model Editing Resources' section.

Milkshape 3d (http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/) is a good place to start for Q3 tech 3d modeling.

I'd recommend gmax - it's free'r than Millkshape and the tutorials are excellent.

Once you have a model where do you go from there to incorporate it into a game?
