Um, well Little Vader, I'm glad you pointed that one out, because it, curiously enough, provides me with an opportunity to clear that one up for the record and for future reference to all parties likewise inquiring therein.

Back when I first registered my username here (on the date of December 20th, 1998) the version of Ultimate Bulletin Board which was installed on this server did NOT support the use of symbolic characters in one's username, or any other characters than numeric, alphanumeric, and spaces. I even tried to change it to Lt. Guilo just recently *(just before my retirement, FYI)* from the forum control panel, but no dice. I guess it'll always be that way on this server, too. Current versions of UBB DO now allow one to use any character(s) he/she may choose for their username at the time of its registration, but -DON'T- differentiate the usage of symbolic characters *(e.g. the "." character)* between two otherwise identical usernames when that symbol is the only distinguishing characteristic between the two names. In other words, all attempts to simply register ANOTHER member under the name "Lt. Guilo" will be met with the same error message: "Sorry, but another user has already registered under that name."
Can't win for losing, I suppose. Story of my life.

....Or, it would be if I had a life, anyway.
