could not fall asleep to save my life last night. 1 hour of quality sleep before having to wake up this morning. and now i got a splitting headache... yay
Well, I asked a few of my other fan friends about the shaky camera work in ST, and a few of them actually thought it added realism to the scenes that had a lot of explosions in them.
what about shaky cameras during the non-action scenes and close ups? when I took a film class we were told to use a tripod to keep the camera steady during close ups to prevent the viewers from getting dizzy or sick
trying to find far cry 3....:( px on air force side didnt have it. guess ill have to get my mom to buy it for me and send it lol
Ed, are you ready for a bunch of dentists to descend upon Boston next week? I'll be there Wed-Thur for a dental conference.
having money is ****ing great. bought a new pair of shoes, and a 2 terabyte hard drive. and still have money in the bank and getting paid tomorrow. hell yeah.
so far the cool things i bought here:
xbox 360 -$300
hdmi cable for it $40
metal gear solid hd collection $30
nikon digital camera $150
helmet camcorder $100
2 terabyte hard drive $120
new pair of running shoes $120
god knows what else i'll buy when im here. so far i dont need anything else that costs money!
plus...all my bills are gonna be paid off by may, only stuff i gotta pay is my student loan, car insurance, and rent. rent is hardly anything lol. then i just gotta save my money for when i get home, going on a week vacation with my friends and then either back to college or onto the better life; active duty. we'll see about the active duty though since they freezed hiring, but since im already on active duty orders, it may be easier to get in. im really hoping so cause this is what i really want to do, though i can get away with my little apartment and getting paid to go to school, i just dont see the point when i can do better for myself and my country. but eh, national guard does have many options for active duty status, but my fear is not being able to do my mos scout stuff, or having to reclass.
Home again. Total system shock. Woke up to sunshine and 80 degree weather. Going to bed with snow in the low 20s. Ed, are you ready for a bunch of dentists to descend upon Boston next week? I'll be there Wed-Thur for a dental conference.Ahhh! Floss ninjas!!!
:joy:
Which convention center are you going to be at? If it's at the Hynes, we'll be about a block apart.
sandstorms are ****ing awesome, the kuwaitis finally drive normal.
starting to realize that everything will work itself out...i think that prayers are helping me considering how depressed i feel sometimes. trying to see the bigger picture in things, enjoying my time here and making friends with everybody.
Ed, boston convention and exhibition center. either way, you're not far. I'm staying at the Revere.
Yeah, we should meet up. Lunch or something... if you have time.
came home around 4am after bartending....
sore, tired.
was hungry
foraged the wilderness that 'civilized people' call a 'reffer-rage-der-rating-box' or what ever you peoples call it for a steak cooked hours ago ( :/ ) and some store bought broccoli salad
I am now licensed to drive again.
Drivers in and around Boston:
Be afraid. Be very afraid...

hey kuuki how u been man?

i get to hang out with suicide xwing at least once a week, and chat with jangoclone#104 almost daily
crackles needs to swing by brockport sometime
nice, is sxw still in the national guard?
you lost it?It expired on my birthday last June... and I apparently never took it out and looked carefully at it since long before that, because I've been driving around on it this whole time.
It took a TSA agent at Logan airport to actually point these facts out to me. Of course, I was leaving for 10 days in Florida at the time, so there was little I could do about it until after I returned.
EDIT:
It looks like I've suddenly stopped getting any email notifications about activity on this thread. Anybody else having this problem?
No, I've had the opposite problem in the past - I didn't want any notification, but it wouldn't stop! Thankfully it is working fine for me at the moment.
Very much looking forward to Saturday...we're celebrating my big sister's 1st b-day w/ her birth family (me & my full siblings, of course). :joy:
Been at work 3 full days already. I'm ready for another vacation.
Still... I'm in a far better mood to be here than if I hadn't taken any time off at all.
back to my workout routine with n.o. explode 2.0 advanced strength. pushups/situps/run haha gonna own the pt test when i get home.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier is ****ing brilliant. lots of stealth killing and action. watched my buddy play it for a few he's playing it on easy mode and there are many missions. i'm on elite mode and it is challenging enough for me but enjoyable at the same time. i'm stuck on halo 4, haven't played in about a week. almost beat the old republic's main story with my agent. that game is addicting too. :) need more advanced armor so i can be competitive in pvp..i really miss pvp.
got a good workout in tonight, getting my pushup and situp reps up to max, also i'm going to starve myself down to 150 pounds. i hate being fat, i dont know how in the **** i put 30 pounds on since july, but it's all coming off and then some.
This post is during my first access of the forums as a Comcast Internet customer...speedtest.net gave me 90+ megabit down. :joy:
The Internet was out all day at work today. Since I couldn't look anything up, I had to rediscover all of math.
I wish we had 90MBS down... ;_;
I just watched the Louis C.K.stand up that he filmed where I work a few years back, on Netflix.
It's kinda weird to see my own name go by on the credits... along with a bunch of guys I work with and used to work with.
haha thats cool ed.
off to work i go! lmfao
making alot of changes to my mentality of life this month...making myself a better person, better soldier, and going to follow my dreams and fight for what I want in life, it got me this far and so far it was way more than worth the fight. (talking about what I had to go through to get back in the military, and back onto the dmd list for this deployment) active duty is more physically demanding, so going to spend alot of time in the gym and hardcore dieting, also listening and taking initiative so I can end up running some of these missions we're doing.
Purchased food. Gluten Free food is ****in' expensive
Yeah, but in this case it's necessary for her health. Celiacs disease can lead to some pretty nasty ass **** later in life if she continues to consume gluton based stuff, like Lymphoma or death via malnutrition.
So, it's worth it. :D
well facebook took a **** on the picture uploader. :( i'm finally starting to get some really sweet pictures of **** here and facebook decides to look me dead in the face and say '**** you' back to myspace?
Yay Ravens!
Had a dentist appointment this morning. They are always so very impressed with my gums. And not so impressed with my shifting teeth. Sigh...
I always have the opposite problem. Teeth: perfect. Gums? Not so much...
taking some ****ing FEMA classes that my plt sgt made mandatory **** for us to waste our time on our days off. yeahhhhh and the exams are full of fail. my first negative counseling is brewing.

Did you ever have braces? I did, but it seems the bottom teeth are shifting back a bit, and he wants me to get invisiline or a retainer or something and wear it for life. That sounds terrible, though.
just have them all pulled and get dental implants.
watching ninja movies all night long :D
Did you ever have braces?No.
I did have both my baby teeth and adult growing in at the same time. A double row of teeth, like a shark. But somehow everything grew in straight. My impacted wisdom tooth pushed everything together before I got it out, but it didn't seem to have a permanent effect.
I dunno... as far as my teeth go, I was pretty blessed and lucky. I never even had a cavity... and I used to take pretty lousy care of them.
i hate feeling sick to my stomach.
My cat has caught cabin fever.
When I came home from work and if he is normally in the garage he escapes out the back cat door. It was frozen shut, so he ran up the opposite side of my 2-door garage and went back out. I had to call to him from the back porch and he was over in the neighbors yard and came romping in a hurry through the 12 inch deep snow we have.
After a bit to eat (he had not been fed since 2pm and it was now 930pm) he started attacking his scratching chair, and went over to his toy box to complain. Yes, Daddy had to play with him. So i got one of his toys out (the Felt cat-o-nine tails) and played with him. after a 5 minutes of that I had to play hide and seek with him. After giving chase he would hide, and a few minutes later he would come out and wait for me to give chase again.
Finally let him out again after he realized there was no door to summer
update: just let him back in and he is now curled up and purring in my lap. makes being a cat owner worth it
found some crazy **** the last few days...found a 155mm at round the other day and today we found a cache of ak47 magazines (still loaded with ammo) left over from the gulf war. its like an episode of 'mud men' but out in the ****in desert. not a bad time.
My bet there are hundreds of weapon caches in the whole middle east. Often the people who know about them are dead.
I'm tired. Chances that I will fall asleep at my desk today? Fairly high.
Snow is coming. They seem very reluctant to cancel all the weekend shows despite the fact we are supposed to get hammered. At the very least a foot everywhere. 2 feet in a lot of places. Maybe even 3 feet in a couple of spots.
Power outages, 50-60 mph winds, and and coastal flooding are expected.
So of course I'm going to make it to work! Why wouldn't I?
Should be a fun weekend...

true, it feels kinda good though finding this **** properly disposing it, and knowing that we're helping out the locals.
yay facebook finally un****ed itself so i can post pictures again!
My winter boots are crappy. Gonna run out this morning and buy a new pair before we are all buried alive. Maybe another bag of ice melt... if I can actually find any.
College is closed today and the show tomorrow was postponed. They still want to try to do the Sunday show. I think that's optimistic. The city was shut down for about 4 days in '78's blizzard... and this one is predicted to be worse.
5k run tomorrow...hell yeaaa
got all my FEMA exams done, woop woop, and i wont be around to handle the eocs and icps during the insane snowstorms you guys are getting.....cause i ain't got time for that!
If only I could throw a bowling ball as well as I did in my lesson yesterday all the time. :dozey:
