I suspect this year's thread will get more action than last year's now that R15 is back from basic. :)

My BFF will be over today...the major task is getting something installed that I've always wanted on my machine: Microsoft Office :D

Twenty Twelve.

Whodathunkit?

:joy:

Make it a great one, boyos!

Maybe this will be the year we get a new X-Wing game... Whattaya think?

:dozey:

Anyway... I'll try to find a few moments to be a bit more active than last year. I doubt it will be easy... But I'll make the attempt.

Maybe this is the year some more of us will meet up in person.

Anyway: happy gaming for another 12 months stallions!

I'm somewhat new to this portion to LucasForums but I'm certainly not new to either X-Wing or Tie Fighter.

I hope to playing a lot more Tie Fighter now that I've discovered TFTC and Waylon's missions as well.

Speaking of Waylon, have you folks seen my post (http://www.lucasforums.com/showpost.php?p=2799875&postcount=7) about his request?

The last several years have seen thread titles that were takeoffs of the movie names, so I decided to go with a takeoff of the name of one of the novels set between the films. So it was either that or "Splinter of the Forum's Eye" :joy:

Here is hoping that 2012 will be better then the last one.

So far I am emotionally drained, depressed, and saddened

my wife hates it that I wanted to watch football yesterday, and today she thinks her car is going to die on her.

I got a birthday coming up... hope things get better soon

Time seems to be an issue. I don't have it.

Either I'm flat out at work. Or I'm just too busy with the GF and her kids to even think.

I have a GIANT list of things to do at my place that I meant to tackle some of this last week that never even got considered since I was hardly at home. Or when I was here I was on the verge of collapsing from exhaustion... Or taking care of puppies... Or kids... Or all of the above.

I need to find some way to manage my time better.

Starting... tomorrow. Off to bed now. Vacation's over... Trash and back to work early in the morning.

Hooray. :dozey:

Aw, those are some cute puppies! And they do look like Ewoks! Which raises the question...why isn't one of them named Wicket?

Well... I really wanted to name them Sam and Max... but mom vetoed me on the girl dog. She wanted a "Mocha".

Plus, she already feeds a stray cat she calls "Sam".

But, I kinda wanted tough-sounding names... since they are pretty much tiny wimpy dogs. I can currently hold both of them in one hand with room left over.

you got married?

Yes, you even congratulated me (http://lucasforums.com/showpost.php?p=2786086&postcount=947)

What is happening in our married is it is being stressed. Both of our Cars are over 10 years old and starting to make hints of being unreliable. The current political environment in Wisconsin with the Governor and GOP attack on State Union workers is making her worried about her job. We have a new house. Both our mothers passed away last year. And our household budget is tight... even with me working at a crappy job

I admittedly struggled in the early part of my bowling season, but I seem to be starting to get it together. Case in point, last night, I had something that I hadn't had all season: A clean game. :D

Work sucks. At least the "getting up in the morning to get to work" part does. Once I'm here it's not really that bad. A bit boring perhaps... but not terrible.

I'd much rather just be chillin' at home, playing video games... but since I'm apparently out of days I can take off to do that, I have to try to make myself appear busy around the office and the hall for several hours a day.

xbox live anyone??? i hope soI've been on Live all along. Hardly ever do anything with it anymore. Not since playing co-op Halo Reach with Keyan anyways...

If it weren't for downloading DLC for my racing games, and getting Youtube on my TV... I could probably live without it at this point.

Hopefully that changes when Halo 4 drops.

I'd be willing to work through Halo 1 (AKA: Anniversary) again if anybody wants to tackle it co-op. Let me know... I'll pick it up.

Otherwise: I think my next game is going to be Skyrim. Dunno if I'll ever have time to ever make a dent in it... but it just looks so amazing I can't stop myself from wanting it.

IIRC the engine use for Fallout 3 and new Vegas was used for Skyrim. I have been hopelessly addicted to Fallout 3. There is some great enjoyment for me just exploring and finding an abandoned caches of supplies... or waling into an abandoned grocery store and seeing a rube goldberg type trap get activated that reveals some hidden loot.

I for one am waiting for Diablo 3.

I want to play through Serious Sam 3 co-op when it hits XBLA. Other than that, I don't have much to do with it. I'm playing through Perfect Dark with a friend right now, but he doesn't have much free time. I don't know about any more Halo. I don't think I'm too interested in Anniversary. As for Halo 4, I'll have to wait for the reviews.

Taking my mom to a concert tonight (a present I got her for Christmas). Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 1, Mozart's Jupter Symphony, and Beethoven's Grosse Fuge are on the menu. Should be great!

Took my Dad out the bar last night. TO a place that had over 100 beers and 15 on tap. He had the O'so brewery "Big O" porter. And i had Furthermore's Burbon barrel aged scotch ale... OMG that was delicious and kicked you in the ass at 10% ABV. Of course my Dad being the single guy now was the "Old man" flirting with all the girls. it was funny.

Received some bad news last night: My class treasurer (and the one who led the planning for our 25th reunion) passed away suddenly over the weekend. He had been a good friend, too. Because a similar death in the class threw me for a loop mentally 12+ years ago, I'm asking those close to me to keep an eye on me, but so far, so good.

Managed to pick up some contract work as a Legal Assistant. The upside is I can work from home for most of it.

The downside, as with any contract work, is that it's not regular. Damnit.

Still need a full time job. I'm going to start looking out of state soon, so if anyone has any lawyer friends that need a legal assistant/paralegal....... >.>

Oh, and happy new year eveyone. GL HF DD KA NO RE.

We finally got our snow in Wisconsin. 2 inches of light stuff that is drifting in the 18 mph winds. My cat was going completely nuts in the house running around. he would walk by me and then run away when I made the slightest move in his direction. When I threw him outside he would act like the snow was biting his paws as he walked on it. Then it turned into a game of hide and run away while i got ready for the morning.

Puppies are messy. I don't like it.

Daytime hours at work kinda suck. I don't like it either.

My exercise bike is finally together. Now I just have to put the time together to, I dunno... maybe actually use it.

Finished Gears 3 last night. Pretty satisfying ending.

Looking forward to the weekend.

Some drama this morning: I'd been having something of a problem with the lock on my door since I moved into my current apartment about 13 years ago, but it decided to finally give up the ghost when I had a visitor here, effectively locking me in and my visitor out. The hardware in my door is three pieces, the door handle, the lock itself (which can be operated with the door handle to unlock it from the inside), and the cylinder (which you put your key in to lock and unlock it from the outside). Only the lock needed to be replaced after maintenance unlocked it from the outside, so I was able to keep my key.
