So, Whitney Houston's dead. Too bad - drugs and bad company, I guess. She had some catchy songs in the 80s.

still sick...no more calling off for me. Fallout 3 is awesome. started my draft on a paper for college writing. the class is sort of annoying me, i hate trying to force one paragraph into 2 pages, it's stupid. i guess that's why the class is called college writing.

Maybe it makes me a bad person... but all I thought while watching the news the other night was: "Oh god... now I have to sit through about 17 Whitney Houston tribute concerts. Crap."

Nope. Perfectly reasonable reaction. Would have been mine too.

Well... It has precedent:
I've only had to suffer through about 20 Michael Jackson tributes. So far...

Eh, could be worse things to sit through a tribute for.

I went in for jury duty today. Got picked to go into the courtroom and get interviewed, but wasn't chosen for the actual jury. Which is good, because that trial would have taken a long time and been super boring. But I still have two more days I may have to go in.

Eh, could be worse things to sit through a tribute for.True. But after suffering through the 12th or 13th bad arrangement and bad performance of the same song in several weeks, you begin to question the choices you have made in life.

I've never been to jury duty. I got called for it once while I was off on tour, and away from home for 3+ months. They weren't happy with that, and it's a tough situation to explain from out on the road.

well since i posted that married bs on facebook, which was more of an experiment than anything....we're breaking up or something. wtf knows. maybe it's for the better, but i feel like ****.. she wants to be single for a while. she says i still have a chance, etc. but we're two different people and such, etc. i dont know how to feel part of me is like 'alright whatev' but my heart feels broken cause i hated being single it sucked worse than anything ever.
and figures this would all occur between our birthdays and valentines day. punch in the ****ing balls.
the only problem i have with her is she wants someone that has a steady job, good income, education, etc. and she can obviously see i'm working towards those things, i just don't have them yet and she downs me for it and goes on 'im 28 i need a man that can provide for me' etc etc and i bite my tongue from saying harsh things lol should never have given her access to my account when i was at basic, cause i would have had money saved and i'd be well off right now instead of just barely back on my feet, but now that i'm getting back on my feet and becoming financially stable and getting my education and working a steady job she pulls this ****. if we really do break up, i'm probably going to stay single for a very long time.

V-Day. Bleargh.

I don't feel that much more inclined to like it even that now I'm in a relationship.

Fortunately, she feels much the same way... so there's a bit less pressure.

I still got her a card and gifts, however. I'm not an idiot.

I got her various good smelling lotions and soaps and lip balms from The Body Shop. Vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

She got me a cushion for my exercise bike seat.

Hmm...

For my SO it started last saturday with a couple massage. It included a dozen roses, a glass of champagne, and a few chocolates. Then we gave cards on V day and went out to dinner at a resturant 40 minutes north of here. THings got into a heated argument on the way back. she complains about having to sacrifice so many things and pay all the bills, and I tell her my self-esteem is in the crapper and I hate my job where I am constantly sore and tired after working. it was more of a "Getting things off my chest" argument.

Got hearing aids today. WOW!. It was like i was underwater or in a auditory fog. First thing i noticed in my car radio I turned it down by half of what it normally was.

So do I, which is why it's so weird that I'm remembering all this stuff. Well, that and I didn't think you could really do stuff like math in your dreams. But no joke, a couple of times when I've been really stumped on a programming problem, the solution has come to me in a dream. My very last programming project in college was like that. I had one more thing to fix and I just couldn't figure it out, so I went to sleep. Then a few hours later I dreamed the solution and woke up. I typed it in, it worked, I submitted the project, and said goodbye to school forever.

lol@k_k that's how my relationship was all the time. lmfao. and yeah she did absolutely nothing to help my self esteem, just kept downing me and downing me. and right after graduating basic too, so yeah...we are still friends but may get back together, i have no idea. If we don't get back together, I'm definitely not going to be looking anymore, i'll live a comfortable life working part-time, having freedom to do whatever the **** i want, not worrying about waiting around for eternities being "company" when i just sit and watch tv or do whatever she asks of me only to be treated like dirt when i have an opinion she doesn't agree with. so yeah, **** that ****..unless we both change in the next month or so, but i don't see it happening.

If anything I learned about relationships. be happy with yourself first. Then anything else happens is just a bonus. My wife loves it when I go curling or go on bike trips because i get a confidence and swagger that really makes me look sexy to her.

Now I am just a fixer upper. and if she does a good enough job she should be able to retire in 10 years and let me pay the bills.

Got hearing aids last wednesday. When I got them it felt like i was finally out of a fog and had been living underwater for the last 10 years. I am hearing things I normally could not hear. It is amazing. I went to the local hooters saturday and it was LOUD with music blaring and such. But i could still understand what people were saying next to me when I normally wouldn't be able to.

Yes, I enjoy hooters and looking at the ladies. Food isn't all that great tho

Some math nerds have calculated how much it might cost to build the Death Star, the Star Wars saga's iconic superweapon. Mind you, this is just the cost of the materials, and doesn't factor in research and labor.

Bowling win for me last night: I made the 4-7-10 split for the first time in my memory, perhaps for the first time in my life. I've made the 6-7-10 before (remember, I made the 6-7 to take $20 from my brother), but never the mirror leave until last night (I think). :D
