Doesn't look very black to me. I looked at the tga, and you merely turned the white into black. Nice red effect though.
Also, you seem to have left out two other textures, the horrid low-res texture from Malak's hand, and the texture surrounding my Mandalorian.
And the only reason why I used Malak was that none of the Dark Jedi chose to use Force Lightning, and I'm short on time here as I have to get to school.

Oh, and JarthJango/Weasley, did you get permission from Rtas Vadum for the template lightning texture you took from his mod?
Well, if you use someone else's material, even if it's just for a template or looking for that "particular" file, you must ask for permission. Unless if their readme says otherwise, in which you give credit to them for that particular file.

I have to ask, exactly what is it that you did? Did you take the texture I edited(which at this point, I forget exactly what I did), and add a black center?
Trouble is, the texture the game uses is obviously low res and that mod wasn't the best effort on my part. I could likely do something better at this point, though I'd have to work at it to look as I'd want.
Though as said above, the Lighting effect uses three textures, one for the lighting(fx_lightning), the 'conjure' ball(fx_conjure), and the overlay on body models(of which I am unsure of it's name).
The texture had like a red line which i figured was lightning so in gimp i brushed over it. Anymore questions as i may have this thread taken down...
