This is a Total Conversion Idea ( Well im already Working on it )

KotOR 5 The Jedi Hunt

StoryLine: After Defeating Darth Traya You Travel to the Unknown Regions and there You Get Visions of the Past Like You Start the Game at Peragus ( Vision ) after that ( REAL ) you Travel to Telo's to Confront Atris. After that you ask her where the Last Jedi are. She tells you that Jedi Master Ben Solo ( Dantooine ) is hiding on Dantooine, next she Says that Jedi Knight Fax Teromo ( Thought up a Random Name ) is hiding on Nar Shadda, Next she tells you that Jedi Padawan Nikko Dorn is Protecting the Queen on Mandalore, but She Says there is a Jedi Knight on Korriban but she does not tell you who. On the Way in Search of the Last of the Jedi to Kill you Get new Party Members 1 Darth Valses ( Kreia's As her Dark Form ) Smuggler Atton Onasi, Savage Opress ( Bao-Dur ) HK-63, T3-M4, Mandalore the Destroyer, The Handmaiden, G9-29, Zalbarr, Visa's Marr ( Your sith Aprentice ), You should'nt Pick the Lightside for this mod but if you do, Mira Zular.

I have made a some progress, i reskinned Onderon a little to look a little like Mandalore, Changed the Lightsaber Styles And Force Form colors like the Purple Ball, i Changed it into Red Ball.


Looking for SCRIPTERS,SKINNERS,MAPPERS, OR ANY HELP APPLIED. :)

HK-63 Will Be Skinned as a Black HK Unit, Also The Handmaiden will be a Dark Jedi Because Atris Fell to the Dark Side of the Force And She No More will have Handmaidens Instead Dark Jedi Because she turned the Academy into a Sith Academy.

First of all, welcome to the forums!

Looking for SCRIPTERS,SKINNERS,MAPPERS, OR ANY HELP APPLIED. :)

These two things seem to go together around here with new modders... It seems that most people (me included), start off trying to make a huge project, involving multiple planets, quests, and models. I was there, trust me, I had lots of imagination and ideas, but lacked the skills to carry them out. Sadly, but realistically, they all failed in the early stages, and that's how it seems to go. A total conversion, or anything close, for that matter, needs to come after skills have been honed and sharpened.

I can see that you have joined this forum this month, so I am assuming that this is the first modding that you are attempting. I would advise you to strongly consider working on smaller projects first. Go with something that you think will be really easy, or something that you didn't like in the game that maybe you'd like to improve with a little work.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but it seems like more and more often, we get new people around here that are starting total conversions, and almost none of them get past the planning stage.

Revenge of Revan (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=186405), which is one of the best looking mods that I have ever seen for either KotOR, has been in production for over three years. It can be done, but does it take a lot of work, yes. If you are trying to work on this without the skill set that it requires, it's just going to be that much more frustrating for you.

Also, you're going to have to do it almost completely by yourself. Teams just don't work out around here, I've been on them. If you want to get something done, and done right, you have to do it yourself!. Logan23 from RoR has done the whole thing completely by himself, with the exception of the character models done by Redrob41. This is just how it goes, nobody really wants to work on something that isn't their idea.

Well, with all that said, I hope that you will consider starting with something smaller. If you have any questions about modding, I will do my best to answer them. These (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/developer/Sithspecter;27202) are the mods that I have done, most of them really aren't huge, but evidently some people like them.

Thank god, I have been waiting for a worthy mod like this forever, In fact i hate the ending in KOTOR 2, Seriously i wasn't impressed at all. However i am having problems getting mods to work for me since i am running the actual disk for KOTOR 2.

I have Thought up some Ideas for Planets 1 Illum ( Dantooine Chrystal Cave ) 2 Hoth, 3 Tatooine ( Need to Take Alittle Tatooine off from KotOR to KotOR 2 ), DAGOBAH ( Dxun, You might Find Vandar ther :) ), Not yet done of Thinking up Planets But almost Done!

I can see that you have joined this forum this month, so I am assuming that this is the first modding that you are attempting

No No Im like 6/10 Im not a Newbie Modder.... Been modding for 5 Monthes now.

Working on the KotOR 5 ICON :)

Thank god, I have been waiting for a worthy mod like this

Even im Looking for this Mod's Release, But the Progress for this Big mod is 3% now Im Still Skinning, then I gotta start on the New Weapons, And Saber Colors :), Then i gotta Add the Planets, ETC but its gonna take A Long Time.




VOTE: Should KotOR 5 The Jedi Hunt Include Pink Lightsaber? YES or NO

I Think i got all the Planets Ready... 1. Unknown Space Station, 2. Telo's, 3. Hoth, 4.Dagobah, 5.Ilum, 6.Mandalore, and 7.Coruscant ( Only part of Coruscant is the Jedi Council Chambers )

I have to say it was a good idea that your re using the planets for kotor2 which will save you a good deal of time.

What happens if you killed Atris in kotor2?
Solution: You could either have a check wither you killed Atris or simply have a new NPC.

With the plot I would say make it so you can be light and dark side exile but then shift it into a bottle neck where you meet Atris and then the Player/Exile will need to deal with the present main story line.

always look at possible light and dark side ways to handle the main quest even if the main quest is presented in a darkside manner.

It looks like you are being smart and focusing on story and keeping planets or skinning module to planets like Hoth which it is easier since its all ice.

Good luck with the project.

Last advice is to get a prototype up of one of the planets that will cover all the mechanics so you know you have all the tools you need to mod this.

What happens if you killed Atris in kotor2?


When you get your Party member Atton Onasi you have a choice to say if you killed Atris or let her live. Then once you get to Telos ( If you let her Live ) She joins your Party. ( If you Killed her) There will be a Sith Acoylate named Galen Benack he will join your party

Actually, if you look at the animated logo for RoR, it has III in it. IMO, it is the unofficial K3, but that is just my opinion and perhaps that of a few others.

Trex' mod is definitely not numbered. Neither should "The Jedi Hunt" be numbered... take some pressure off of yourself and just let it be what you named it; that is sufficiently different than other mods, the idea itself is sufficiently different, and if you ever actually make it through this mod and it is close to as grand as you imagined, no one will be mad at you if you call it KotOR 5.

Hmmm.....well, let's think about it. Since I quoted your statement that you couldn't find the galaxymap script, odds are pretty good that that nss script is the script you were asking for.

^^^ You need to make sure that you have the specific Java edition that DeNCS requires... I had a problem with this as well, I think you need version 1.6.3, but the ReadMe should tell you that.

No offense intended, LordVader1, but for someone attempting to do a total conversion mod, I would think you should know which files you are looking for.

If you are having issues with the galaxy map you could simply use a system where you talk to the terminal/computer and have a selection of test for the planet's name and then warp to them. This will solve a lot of head aches.

I use a system like this in RoR since I have so many new planets.

I think that Logan's way is one of the vest for "planet-traveling". I was think of doing this for future mods. I was going to suggest it to, but he beat be to it.
I tho k it would be better just to call it KotOR: The Jedi Hunt.

And, In that screenshot, what planet/area is it in you mod?

Thanks, Yes i do need some Help With Skinning, i need help with Making some Party Portraits. I would like to ask if you can work on the Kreia Portrait & The Hand Maiden. On handmaiden She needs a Picture of a Dark Jedi face. And on Kreia just some few changes, just make her in her dark form Face.

If you Would like to work on something else, ( Something Simple ) Like the Icons of Weapons.

WEAPONS: Mandalorian Disrupter, T7-UY Blaster Rifle.

Even though you're only 3% into the mod when it's finished I'm sure it will be more impressive, Who knows maybe yours will be done before the new Old Republic game comes out, They say it's release will be 2012 but keep holding it's actual release!!

Im still having Problems Finding a_galaxymap.nss I already Installed DeNCS ( and used it ) but it didn't update my KT for a_galaxymap.nss can someone please tell me where to find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no nss version of that file included in the source scripts. If DeNCS isn't working for you, just copy that text I posted earlier and save it as a_galaxymap.nss

I read it on another site, That may have mislead me, I have found a few sites like that, I just hop it comes out soon, I'm having TOR with drawls, To be honest i would love to see a movie based on the KOTOR, But i know that's asking a lot, I honestly wished they didn't end the saga with ROTS!!

I have Thought up some Ideas for Planets 1 Illum ( Dantooine Chrystal Cave ) 2 Hoth, 3 Tatooine ( Need to Take Alittle Tatooine off from KotOR to KotOR 2 ), DAGOBAH ( Dxun, You might Find Vandar ther :) ), Not yet done of Thinking up Planets But almost Done!
