Edit:

This mod is now done, and has been released:

http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=205158)

Original WIP:
This all started a while back when I wanted a Ubese disguise. Since this (and some others) makes the game crash, I decided to make my own Ubese appearance by modifying the Sith Soldier 02 texture:

http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/ubese01.jpg)

I was recently reminded of the disguise issue by another thread, and recommissioned the Ubese Suit. It has occurred to me that TSL needs some Assassin's Daggers and some more custom double-swords.

Sooooooooo

Time for some Ubese stuff to go with the suit.

The daggers use the stun baton model, so you get a stabbing motion in combat.

Poison Dagger:
http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/dagger.png)

Dagger with yet-to-be-determined properties:
http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/dagger2.png)

Double Sword No. 1 (which needs some texture work):
http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/ubese2.jpg)

Ubese Droid Striker:
http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/ubese3.jpg)

I envision up to 5 daggers and up to 5 double swords. I'll try to find some place on Telos where the player can find these prior to encountering the thugs on the way to the TSF station.

I discovered, much to my chagrin, that the Sith Soldier 02 DOES appear in TSL, so I will have to modify some UTIs to change these all to the Sith Commando appearance (you REALLY don't want the horror of facing other combatants who have the Ubese Suit!). So far as I know, Onderon is the only place these replacements will be necessary.

I really like your skin, but it just doesn't say "ubese" to me. There is always this (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Ubese_Assassins_Armor;71056) mod, in case you missed it or something.

The weapons are good too - I especially like the look of the droid striker sword. Maybe you could make something like this (http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNcK1jWc8iz3uS9aLfyFe5DP3XGp64o) a67KZbxK_qplSzlPvs&t=1&usg=__eW-g4IICiE5ptZE0qH_T5g_LYeE=). It just looks "assassin-y" (yeah, I made up a word) to me.

Btw, I always liked your models. The ones from Czerka Commando are awesome.

Thanks for the links! That saves me some trouble if the helmet doesn't clip too bad.

I might be able to make something similar to your photo.
http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNcK1jWc8iz3uS9aLfyFe5DP3XGp64o) a67KZbxK_qplSzlPvs&t=1&usg=__eW-g4IICiE5ptZE0qH_T5g_LYeE=

it DOES look assassin-y, doesn't it!

Must be why the assassin class uses the katar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katara_%28sword%29) as a weapon in Diablo 2. ;)

You can go a lot of different directions with a katar, since they vary in style. They'll probably look a little funny in combat, though, since the animations aren't really designed for a weapon with that orientation.

Actually my dream come true would be an animated Katar just like this (http://www.spike.com/video/insides-out/3394148) but I understand that would be a pain in the ass to make :p

I'm not quite good enough to animate stuff.

Hey, I dug around and got the disguise to work:

The answer is in this post by RedHawke

I bet it works on the other "game crashers" as well.

The Grand Master Assassins' Jeweled Sword:
http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/dSword67screen01.jpg)

Way too overpowered for Peragus, so you get this later in the game.

It's fully upgradeable, too!

That is sex. However, the blade seems a little short. Or is that just the perspective of the screenie?

You may be right about that. I scaled it down because it was too wide, so it probably shortened it too much.

I'll use this blade for a Short Sword and make a longer one for the double sword.

The last dagger:

http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/ajkfjaioIIl9Wkk/ev-Dagger67.jpg)

I anticipate that the Ubese items are going to be released this weekend. It's looking like:

3 daggers (One is a Noghri dagger, but the Ubese like it anyway)
2 Double Swords
1 Short sword

Thanks! I like it much better than my recent blaster mods. I especially like the way the T'aarv sword came out. That nifty serrated look on the blade is done entirely via the texture.

Well, these blades instantly reminded me Electra's Sai:

However, yours are held by the base, and are much better!! :thmbup1:

I could probably make one of those. I would have to figure out how to insert it in the unarmed combat animation for it to work, though. I wonder if that's even possible. If it is, I could make that, the Katar, and some brass knuckles!

Edit:
Well, gloves won't work because they are invisible. Nothing is easy.......
