Ah. No need to sound like a droid. I can edit the voice to sound like one. :)

I agree with whoever it was that suggested in your other thread that the body be custom-made as well. As it stands, right now what you have is HK-47 with a new head. That kind of... reduces diversity.

Also I assume you intend to do vocals at some point in the future to go along with this, yes? You can do a lot with vocal effects. I can make myself sound like a non-girly robot. 8)

You're going to need a lot of dialogue to make this work throughout the entire game.

Of course - this question is WAY too early - but will you have IG-88 in TSL as well?

Making an update...

So far, IG-88 has full voice and will make comments throughout the game. I've also made another IG droid that you can fix. If you succeed in fixing it, it will say thank you and leave. If you fail, it will attack you, and even broken, it's still tough.

Hmm, the Voice overs are a little lacking... missing that radio-ey quality to the voice... too much echoing as well.

But the model and skins are good.

the voice made me lol...but thats only because it sounds like a girl i know's impression of a man, but heard through a really open echoey cave. other than that its fine :)

When he says "of who do you speak?" the K doesn't sound robotic at all. And it echos a lot. But I really like what you've done with the model and back story. It looks really good.

Try something like this in terms of sound effect (example, not going to sound perfect because I'm a girl :p). Yours is a little too echoey, in my opinion, to the point of making it very difficult to understand without the subtitles. Also, you may want to rephrase the dialogue to sound more like a droid and less like a human being. He seems very emotional for a robot.

Was it just me, or did the "not going to sound perfect because I'm a girl" wasn't very convincing? I don't know how a "female" droid is supposed to sound, but hum... that's not very girl-ish :D

Phil, here's a female droid (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/S4-C8-GE3). If you want to hear her, play TSL and go into the Pazaak Den on Nar Shaddaa.

Of course it sounded good. There are no women on the internet! :xp:

I used a free VST plugin called KeroVee (found here (http://www.vstplanet.com/Effects/Modulation5.htm)). You'll just need audio software that handles plugins. It's really cool. I made myself sound like GLaDOS (http://www.inyri.info/iny-glados-test-3.mp3) with it. 8)
