^Empire at War or Empire at war Forces of corruption.
Ooooh no! Dang! So close! Yet this is a strategy space war game (real-time) similar to the above mentioned, but without the detailed battles on the planets. There are space battles that you can play in and you do get to direct your forces to attack whatever ship you like, but that's about it. Otherwise it's limited to just mainly sight, sounds and pictures (sometimes with words); very little action seen in this game.
It's a oldie but goodie, released in 1998 by LucasArts. Went by another name in the United Kingdom.

:D Give that man a cigar, because he's a winneeeeeeer! :golfclap::golfclap::golfclap:
(LB, yeah it says on the box in fine print: "This product is marketed as Star Wars Supremacy in the United Kingdom." Didn't know that myself until I got it out and started looking at it just recently. Son-of-a-gun, who knew! :) )
These plastic cast figures are based upon what game? BTW if you can guess who is not in the picture, you are a champ.

The origin of 'a winner is you', Pro Wrestling for NES?
Since I didn't own the game, or a NES (only played on consoles at friends houses), I had to cheat on the 'who's missing' part and look up the names of the fighters on wikipedia to jog my memory. They're all there, so I'm guessing you're talking about the referee or camera dude being missing? They're the only other 'characters' I can remember there being.
(Sorry for stalling this by forgetting to put up a game last time, assuming I've got this one right, I'll put one up fast)

OBJECTION YOUR HONOR!
I actually got GTA's last one right yesterday, just didn't get around to posting up a game until today. So kind of the opposite of gun-jumping.
Ok, blame GTA......everyone else does. :dev8:

Nah, I'm tired of blaming him for things. Can I blame Faux News or MSNBS instead?
Olberman FTW if you'd really like a scapegoat......well, that or Joy Behar.
Post a stupid picture and quit fighting ladies :p

^Speaking of which, is that one of the Ultima games?

Yeah, the best one. IMO, it makes most modern open-world RPGs look like a joke. If you don't want to guess which Ultima it is, go ahead and post a game, but if you do want to, by all means, guess.

Yes. Technically, Ultima VII part I: the Black Gate. Though I lump it and Serpent Isle together anyway.

I think I only played the game from a shareware version, if I remember correctly. Although I didn't know there were two parts to the full game.
Alrighty then, here's the next VG.........

This is another RTS Space game, only this one had a little role-playing involved in it with a twist near the end. If you need more hints, just ask. :)
Based on search results of the planets listed...imperium galactica?

Part II continued the story (though Part I had a perfectly serviceable ending), and was on the same engine. That's why it was called Part II, and not Ultima VIII. It was a full sized game, with tweaks to the gameplay of Part I, and its own expansion pack. In other words, it was more different from Part I than most video game 'sequels' are now, but they didn't think it was enough to give it a totally different number.
How times have changed.

ITS VOLUME 1! ITS VOLUME 2! ITS VOLUME 3!
^^^You made your point in #187.
I reiterate:

NEXT?!
Do other forumites have to play the "NEXT?!" note in different colors? How hard is it for you to satisfy "NEXT"? Is the "NEXT!" post to be another stall for time?

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence? When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence. I am SHODAN.
Loved those games.
Some one guess volume 1,2 or 3 please

I suppose we can let this thread continue being the beautiful nostalgia-fest it is. :thmbup1:

If you would have read the hint at the bottom of #182 you'd have your answer. Also I conceded to your post #187 because logically there is only ONE number it could be if you didn't know it had 2 sequels which I would think would be fairly obvious.
Since you did not read, like a noob, I'm afraid I'm going to have to hurt you now:

Even if Google Image Search has rendered this game obsolete, let's keep going anyway. I'll get the ball rolling again -
