Movies Play As Screencuts?

I searched for something like this, but I couldn't find it. I apologise if it's actually there and I just didn't see.

I'm having a few problems with the Uniws utility for making the game play in widescreen. The movies are really buggy. My brother mentioned he thought he'd heard about a mod where movies were played as screencuts instead, which would be really helpful. Does anybody know if such a thing exists? If not, is there a way I can do it myself?

Oh, and this has been for KotOR, though for all I know I'll have the same problem with TSL.

Thanks a lot, mateys!

Whether you can help or not.

(Is "screencut" the right word? It doesn't sound right . . . but I'm drawing a blank . . . )

Later:
Oh, I remember now! Cutscenes! They're called cutscenes! I feel really dumb now.

If you mean that the movies would act like cut-scenes, like the "Jedi training" scene, then it would be a stretch for some of the scenes. Namely because the person who chose to do it would have to recreate the scene with the game's models, etc. But since most of the movies deal with ship travel, i don't think that can be done with any of the modules.

If the movies make the game slower, skip, or go to slow, you can disable them so that won't happen. Of course, if you still want to see the movies, then this doesn't help.

But as it is, it would take alot of work to change the movies into actual "in-game" cut-scenes(which are the ones that require a loading screen first, such as the scene where Malak sends a bounty hunter after you).

Hmm.. You could be thinking about Brotherhood of Shadow?

That mod allows you to play as your PC in some of the "cutscenes" but that's only for the purposes of the quest, it doesn't replace the original ones..

Hm . . . this isn't looking too promising . . .

Well, I can't really think of any other way to make them other than scripting them all out either, but I thought it was possible there were cutscene versions of the movies unused on the game somewhere--like a sort of restoration thing. And I guess it would be pretty impossible to script all that ship travel . . . I guess it was a long shot. I definitely want to watch the movies . . .

And about Brotherhood of Shadow, I don't really know. It was just something my brother vaguely remembered hearing something about. He wasn't really sure.

Well, I'm also seeing if anyone at the Widescreen Gaming Forums can help me from that end (as far as the widescreen patching goes), so maybe I'll get something from there.

Thanks for replying, everybody!

Addendum:
I managed to get things workable, anyway. Just ran the widescreen patch, then manually removed the part of the patch that dealt with the movies. So the movies aren't as big as they could be, but I think they're fine this way. I still appreciate everybody's help!
