Battle of the Dark Jedi

138 years after the Battle of Yavin.

As Krayt's New Sith Order is brought down with the help of the Galactic Alliance, Fel's Empire, and the Jedi, the Galaxy celebrates the joy and freedom they now have from the Sith's clutches. Peace is now restored to the Galaxy. Until...

A Dark Jedi named Karayan Varalo wants the Galaxy under his rule, since the Sith Order is now down and gone. What he did find was Krayt's Holocron, inside the old Sith Temple on Coruscant. He use it to ask Krayt questions, and for Krayt's Holocron to teach him the ways of the Dark Side.

With Karayan on the loose, he also has fellow Dark Jedi known as Dark Followers of Krayt. These followers are willing to rule the Galaxy, and bring Krayt's vision of "Galactic order" to come true.

But somewhere in the Galaxy, a man named Cade Skywalker, descendant of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, is once again needed for help to stop this cult from ruling the Galaxy...

* * * * * * * * *

Flying through the atmosphere of Coruscant, Jedi Knight Lyna Honso began to go on a Jedi mission for the Jedi Council of the Hidden Temple. Her mission was to get information on this new "cult" that was being created. Back at the Temple, the Jedi Council sensed a disturbance while meditating. So they sent Lyna and her companions on a mission to get any information about this forming cult.

Lyna, being a timid but strong Jedi, wondered about the new cult the Jedi were to investigate. "I don't understand," she thought to herself, "Why... all of a sudden... a cult wants to be created after the Sith Order's fall? Hmm... I better find out about this... cult."

Her Jedi starfighter continued to fly down the one place that still made her feel uneasy... the Underworld of Coruscant. The thought of being down there again gave Lyna chills down her spine.

The lower levels were such charming places. This was the sort of place that made her wan-shen absolutely necessary. Nothing sent the dirt and scum of Coruscant scattering like a massive, Force-forged blade.

It was strange, being on Coruscant, and not seeing natural light. All that there was, was ambient light that filtered down from above, or whatever non-broken lights could manage to gasp out. Dirt and grime crunched under Zosia's boots with every step; her cloak drifted and settled and eddied as she moved peaceably through the crowd. She made herself neither intimidating nor unimpressive. Rather, she walked with her own purpose, slinking and moving through the throngs, melting into the scene to become one of them. The second there was trouble, the cloak was off, the blades out. However, she had the sense that there wouldn't be issues... not now... this time.

Perhaps next? She stopped before a door to a shabby, dirty cantina. The sign was broken. The door was pitted, scarred and had a few blaster holes in it. Staring at it blankly, she tried to feel that strand in the Force, the one that had just brushed her cheek. Next time? Trouble? There would be a next time? Or was it her paranoia, coupled with being in such a place, tricking her mind?

Well, at least Sith would most likely be true to code. They'd be hiding out in the underbellies of worlds, skulking until they felt "powerful" enough to emerge. And here she was, on a mission, multi-pronged, to find these skulking Sith. Oh the joys of ambivalent Masters. A cult. What kind of cult? A Sith cult. Well, that could range from some kids wanting to be all punk and thug, trying to run a gang with some big, scary name, to some jaded force sensitives attempting to prove to the world how great they were. Or it could be some people worshipping the Sith, as crazies and the unbalanced were sometimes wont to do -- Zo figured it was the black and red that attracted people. The last option was the least enjoyable. It could be real Sith, training, building power, coming back. And if she ran into them here, and now, she knew she would stand, fight and probably die.

Oh bloody hell, she needed a drink. Stepping forward, she yanked her hood down to expose a well-proportioned face, more handsome than beautiful, with delicate tattooing along her brows. Her hand pressed flat against the door of the cantina and she pushed it open, going in. No one would know she stopped off. This area of the lower city was really giving her the creeps.

Atrila Shayla hated the slums of Coruscant with a passion.

She had spent most of her life in the slums, She knew and feared the dangers it presented.

The cathar cast a quick glance over the back of her shoulder to make sure nobody was following her to her apartment, in the lower levels you could never be too careful.

She couldn't see anyone following her, and she couldn't sense anyone through the force, but she just couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her.

Atrila finally managed to reach the cantina where she was renting a room and walked up the stairs to her apartment.

Even here, she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her.

And then she saw him

There was a man sitting down at one of the tables near the door, the man was big, bald, and when he had sat down, she had seen a curved lightsaber handle hang on the inside of his cloak.

There was no way that the appearance of this man and her feeling of being followed were a coincidence.

I need to leave. Soon

Jaq needed a drink. Taking care of a small group of thugs harrasing the locals around the undercity made him wearisome. Him and the boys called it a day, and decided to hang low by themselves for a while.

Jaq charted through the dark realms of the Undercity, towards the nearest Cantina he could find. Right now, he didn't care much for anything: The hooded figures mugging some poor rodian. The Jedi Star fighter soaring above through the undercity. Not his problem.

He walked up the small stairs into the cantina, filled with species of socialising aliens. Jaq walked towards the counter and ordered a corellian ale. It tasted nothing like the one from his own home world, but he wanted a little taste of home for a change, rather than an ordinary hit of juma.

Coruscant
Lower City

Gerris Veltar stared at the target from a neighboring building.

He had been hunting this one for around 3 days now. The target was a Rodian known as Zeedo, he had recently swindled Black Sun into a bad deal. He was also wanted by the CSF for a number of brutal crimes. He'd be doing the galaxy a favor...not too mention recieving a nice amount of credits.

The target was sitting alone drinking caf in their dark apartment in the Lower City. This job would be quick.

Gerris leaned against the window and hefted a large sniper rifle. He checked the wind direction, if there was any in the Lower City, and he checked the range to the target. Everything lined up.

The red cross-hairs of his scope leveled over the rodians sensitive temple beneath their hair...or whatever it was. Gerris didn't care much for the anatomy of his targets.

He took a deep breath, and pulled the trigger. A red line of light went through the Zeedo's window, and hit him right where Gerris aimed, quickly finishing the mission.

Gerris sighed and packed up his rifle, and walked away, just like that. He activated his comm to contact the Black Sun represenative named Yeriv Botoli, a human.

The comm beeped," Botoli, the target is down. Pay me immediatley. You will find my account quite easy to locate."

Botoli had apparently jsut woken up due to his raspy voice, "Oh, the boss will be happy to hear this. Was it quick, Gerris?"

Gerris stayed cold,"Doesn't matter. He's dead. Pay me."

Botoli sighed," Okay, okay, I'll pay you, it'll come slow, but there's alot of it."

"Fine." Gerris deactivated the comm and continued walking down one of the crowded Lower City streets.

He would stick out due to his black tactical armor and weapons, but nobody would stop him for he was far too intimidating. He also had a mask similar to that of a Mandalorian on, most people avoid people like Gerris. He was extremly cold and calculating, but not even he was sure if he was evil.

Suddenly, his customer comm beeped. He activated it and brought it to his mask.

"Assassin at the ready."

"Ahh, yes, Gerris Veltar. Proudly representing your family?"

"Shut up, who are you, and what is the target."

"I'm merely a represenative of someone much more dark and powerful. But we seek you, for you are the best. You're target is simple. Jedi. My men have spotted many coming into the lower city, some that have been reported to have been in the presence of the High Council. This will be most disapproving to my Master to have such Jedi running amuck. Handle them, and I will reward you as much money as you want."

The client hadn't given his name, but he'd forget that if the pay was good, which it was.

"You want all the Jedi here dead?"

"Well, as many that seem to be searching. I'll send you some names."

"Good, consider them dead."

Pictures began to appear on his HUD, and Gerris began planning.

Lyna Honso, Jedi Knight; Atrila Shayla, Jedi Knight, possibly Rogue...

Gerris continued down the list in his mind.

"Payday." He said to himself.

He walked into a nearby Cantina and began the hunt.

Atrila was watching the man with the hooked lightsaber when the door opended and another man came in.

Atrila's danger sense began buzzing when the man came in, there was something dangerous about this new arrival.

Atrila quickly opened the door to her apartment and snuck inside, then she quietly closed the door behind her.

Atrila didn't have any personal items that she really cared about. she had added a few picture to the apartment to make it seem a bit nicer and she had a few datapads that she read to help her fall asleep on nights she just couldn't sleep

Atrila quickly hid her lightsabers on the inside of her cloak and left the apartment as quietly as she could.

She was about halway to the door of the cantina when she noticed that the bald man with the hooked lightsaber was no longer in the cantina, and the new arrival seemed to be searching for something.

Or someone

Atrila quickly made her way back to her apartment and locked the door

Something caught Gerris' eye. Someone had closed a door right as he came in. Perhaps a target. Apparently, this one wasn't known for espionage.

Gerris walked towards the sound and found a door down the ways a bit. He stood in front of it for awhile. Then he took out his small hold-out blaster and began pressing the door-opening buttons.

He's outside the door!

Atrila didn't know who this person was and why he seemed to be after her, but she really had to think of away to get out of this mess

Gotta think of something...

She could either try to sneak past him or she could try and blast her way past him.

I'm just gonna try and get past him

Atrila opened herself to the force and began to gather it around her

And then she force pushed the door directly off it's hinges

Atrila ignited her lightsaber ran out the door of her apartment and then ran to the front door of the cantina

She felt a sharp pain shoot through her leg and she looked down

Oh, he managed to shoot me

Atrila but on a burst of speed and ran out the door of the cantina as fast as she could possibly could given the circumstances

I need to blend in with the crowd

Gerris moved with an unknown speed as he avoided the door as it flew past. He readied his blade and watched carefully as the target, a Cathar, ran past.

He brought up his wrist launcher and fired a small tracking dart into the fur on her back. There would be no need for a race.

She ran out of the Cantina, and Gerris walked slowly out, the people watching him carefully. They were intimidated, they feared him. And for good reason.

Gerris watched the tracking meter carefully.

Finally, down in the Underworld. Lyna shivered, looked around, and held her cloak tightly. After she'd find information about this rumored Sith cult, she would totally leave. Not hang around down there. The young woman breathed, and smiled quietly to herself.

She thought to herself, "Boy, I remember the times Cade and I fought Sith to Sith until they all were overthrown. I'm sure glad we--"

Suddenly, she spotted a female Cathar pass her in a rush. Lyna scratched her head confusingly. "Strange. I sense... the Force strong in that one..." She turned back to head towards the old cantina. But when she did, she sensed danger...

Gerris walked slowly into the street, all of the aliens and people gave him plenty of room.

He suddenly noticed another face of that of one of the targets.

Lyna Honso.

Gerris changed the objective and hefted his sword as he strode towards the target.

Atrila was watching the area around the cantina when she sensed a disturbance in the force close to her location.

Has he found me?!

Atrila searched the area until she finally saw the hunter once again

He has a new target...another jedi?

The hunter was sneaking up on a human woman

She is strong in the force...why doesn't she sense him?

The hunter was getting closer and yet she still didn't seem to sense him

He must be using something to hide his presence

Atrila had to make a decision quickly, run and buy herself more time, or help another in need

What would Juhani do if she were in this situation?

Atrila gathered the force around her and pushed the hunter with the force as hard as she could

Jaq was disturbed when he heard a large clanck of door being burst open, then the rushing of a Cathar down and out of the cantina. She was followed by an armored man who resembled much like a Mandalorian. The Undercity was a dangerous and crazy place to live in, Jaq thought.

Jaq sighed, and finished his ale. He threw a few creds on the counter to pay the barkeep and walked out of the cantina. He wanted to head for his rented apartment in the upper city of Coruscant. There were alot of people out in the streets minding their own business, but Jaq had a strange feeling that something was wrong.

Regardless, it wasn't his concern. He was minding his own business wen all of a sudden he was knocked over by the very same armored man. Jaq fell to the ground with a powerful force. He looked across and saw the very same Cathar from the cantina. She had an open palm out, as if she was trying to push something away. "... a Jedi?"

He pulled himself up. "Not that its any of my business, but wat the heck is that all about? You know what, I'd rather not get involved..." Jaq muttered, as he brushed off the dirt on his ribbed jacket.

Lyna gasped, seeing that an armored man was pushed by an invisible energy. Then, it came back to her. Without turning, she sensed the Cathar was near her, but didn't turn around. Instead, she smiled thankfully, and looked up at the other man.

"I'm sorry, sir, but... I believe that man down beside you was trying to hurt me." Lyna held her cloak tightly, hiding the lightsaber out of sight underneath it. "I just don't know why he's trying to harm me. Hmm. I wonder..."

The disturbance in her head was still bothering her. Lyna sighed. Great. First, she had to investigate about a Sith cult, and now be chased by a man probably to be an assassin? This was going to be an interesting evening for her...

Atrila couldn't believe the human woman.

Why doesn't she understand?!

"You need to run now!"

The Hunter was starting to get back up despite her attempts at keeping him down.

Atrila's body was shaking from the effort of keeping the hunter off balance

I can't keep this up much longer

The air seized around her. For the briefest of seconds, her heart skipped. The Force shimmered. And she realised: the air wasn't stopped; she was frozen. This couldn't be. Like slow motion, dragging herself through the ether, Zo turned her head to watch the bursting spectacle before her. Panic seared through her, not her own, but that of those around her. Jedi were in trouble. One she knew, the other she could feel but the faintest flicker.

Oh no. No, this wasn't good.

She watched the Cathar push down a man and struggle to hold him there. Lyna was panting now, trying to gasp out an explanation to a bystander (Zosia wouldn't ever call anyone down here "innocent", however). Harm? Didn't know why? Who would hurt them? Was it because of the Sith they were trying to trace?

This was really not good.

Even under the Cathar's pushing, the armoured man was struggling back up. Exposing herself didn't seem like a good option. But neither was letting anyone get hurt. Leaping up to her feet, Zo tore off her cloak. She ran over even as she pulled at the parts of her wan-shen, putting it together with practised hands. Halting at the Cathar's side, she glanced over at Lyna, eyes flashing.

"What the?" was all she could manage to get out before having to return her attention to the struggling man. Without thinking, she drew one powerful leg back, and then lashed out with a flat foot into his throat. If the Force wouldn't keep him down, hopefully that would stun him for a bit.

She looked over at the Cathar. Atrila.

"Zo," she gasped out, looking down at the man. Bloody hell, what had she got herself into? Struggling between finishing the job, interrogating him, and buggering off, she scowled and turned away.

"Alright," she choked out, "let's go." She waved across to Lyna. "C'mon! He's getting back up for another dose, methinks, we need to leave!"

Gerris coughed, he saw a liquid splatter the HUD. He looked at the woman that had knocked him dow, then he looked at the Cathar as they left. With an unknown strength he leaped up and sprinted toward them with near super-human reflexes. He jumped onto a nearby column and crawled toward the second story, he then began to follow them via the high places.

He never loses a target, never, not even in pain.

Atrila and Zo were running as fast as they could away from the Hunter

Atrila was a bit more familiar with the hunter's tactics now.

She knew he was going to try and track her, it was the only reason he hadn't tried to kill her in the cantina.

Now she just had to find out where the tracking device was

She stopped for a moment to open herself to the force

Where is it? It has to be somewhere on my back or on the back of my legs, those were the only areas he had a clear shot at

It was no use, she was still too drained from attempting to keep the hunter down to find it

Maybe Zo could find it...

"Zo...I realize that you just saved me but I need your help again. The hunter managed to hit me with a tracking device when I attempted to escape from the cantina earlier and I can't find it. I know that it's somewhere on my back, could you look for it?"

Please help me

Jaq finished brushing himself off, then saw the three jedi fleeing the site. "The Cathar could've at least apoligised... eh, forget it..."

The armored man stood up and ran after them. Why was he so keen to chase after three Jedi? Jaq left the site, without worrying: it wasn't his problem.

But he stopped midway. Should he at least help them? That armored man seemed to pose a threat against them. Though he didn't know the situation well enough to get involved with: for all he knew, those Jedi may have been hunted for a good reason. But Jedi were normally pacifistic to get into any real trouble, unless it involved someone whom was trying to get back at them.

Jaq was too tired. He started walking in the direction where an elevator could take him back up to the surface, but that was a long way away.

Lyna ran behind Atrila and Zo, running from the assassin as well. She didn't know why that man was chasing the three, but she was going to find out about that later. Right now, the only thing do for now was to keep her fellow Jedi safe. "I sure wish Cade, Shado, and the others were here. Times are totally different now..." Lyna thought to herself.

"Hey, guys?" Lyna said, continuing to run with Atrila and Zo, "Sorry about what happened back there. I was just... shocked to know that someone was trying to kill me, I mean, us."

Then the thought came to her. The human woman looked familiar. "Hey. Aren't you Zosia? From the Hidden Jedi Temple?" It had to be her. She didn't recognize the female Cathar yet, but the human woman looked familiar somehow.

Keeping her face set, she glanced over her shoulder at Lyna and gave her a little nod. She had to concentrate on running; that was, until Atrila stopped suddenly. Slamming her feet down, her jerked herself to a stop and turned to face her. This wasn't the safest spot or time to be doing this. It felt cold around them, oddly cold. Like a walk on Hoth with no wind, no snow, no bitter cold -- just... cold. Like walking in dry ice. Her head swivveled slowly, hazel eyes taking in the entirety of the environment. Humans and humanoids' brains slowed things down in times of panic, and filtered out unnecessary infomation. It took years of practise to slow down and pick out every last detail, removing the filter that could blind you to true danger. Only the Force could show you what was really there.

He was coming. Fast. They had no time to linger. He brought the cold, but he had no power to. This was irking, and scaring, her more and more. Oh, she would never show fear, she would utilise it as any warrior did. That didn't mean she didn't feel it, however.

Her eyes went to Atrila's. She felt the Force almost drain from her limbs, into her chest, and then it was out of her, probing the Cathar. Within a moment she had the tracking device spotted. It poked at her in the Force; she could feel the movements of microscopic machinary, the steady rhythm of electric currents, vibrating and grating in the base of her neck. It was similar to a pulse or clicking while swimming underwater. Holding out her hand, she flicked her fingers, entirely focused on the miniscule device. She felt the seams, knew its weight; it flew into her hand with some applied pressure. Looking at it for a brief second before closing her eyes, she felt an almost painful jolt go through her. She still needed to work on that one. But as it was, the tracking device was fried.

Now only if she could do that to sentients.

Tossing it aside, she looked at the two Jedi.

"Yes," she responded properly to Lyna, "I'm Zosia -- call me Zo. Now, we really need to start running," she went on, eyes darting about, the calm ebb in the cold she had made, fading fast to nothing. Slow motion was slowing, her meagre Force-sense was collapsing back on her, and she knew one thing: it was time to go.

Gerris spied them from one of the nearby high-storied buildings. Suddenly, the tracking device was dismantled.

He had to strike, now.

He leaped and dived at his targets. They were all at the same place, and he had killed many better Jedi before.

He brandished his razor sharp blades and roared a war-cry that would've made a Mandalorian shiver in their boots.

He tackled the 'Jedi' in-between Lyna Honso and the Cathar. He raised his blade for the final strike that would complete one contract.

Her Master had been very important in her life. There were lessons she would remember forever. The ship had always been her home; it was the only home she had known before going to the Jedi. Always, when she remembered, she could feel the hard deck against her knees as she knelt for her lessons, the heavy weight of her training, neophyte wan-shen in its pieces across her back, the rasp of her training sword brushing the ground with each breath.

A shiver means more than cold

Yes, Master.

Her heart thumped -- then it stopped. The cold crushed her and heat exploded from her body. As her next heartbeat began, she turned; it felt achingly slow but she could only imagine the speed an outsider witnessed. There was a scream, a war-cry; without thinking her wan-shen was up, reading to block, her viridian lightsabre jumping into her left hand. She would use her wan-shen one-handed if necessary, paring it with her sabre. Her life had been one of training, of endless dueling. She was born for this. Her eyes met her attacker's.

Atrila saw the hunter tackle Zo

I'll Kill Him!

Atrila used the force to push him off Zo and then to rip his helmet off

I can't kill him, it's not the jedi way

Yes you can! This man tried to kill both you and the other jedi! Finish him!

I-I must remember the code

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

Atrila ignited her lightsaber and held it against the throat of the hunter

Gerris was beginning to hate this contract.

He was turning back to her. Zo's eyes narrowed and she shut off her sabre, hooking it back on her belt. With near-lightspeed she broke down her wan-shen and had it strapped once more against her back. Atrila had bought her some time, but now the grown-ups had to take care of business. With an easy, calm gesture, she plucked her beskar curved longsword from her hip and spun it in her hand. There was nothing so satisfying as the weight of a good blade. She drew the Force into herself, ready.

Atrila was in pain. She could feel the faint ache thrumming in the Force. It was times like these Zosia was glad she wasn't strongly attuned to sentients. Sometimes it was downright distracting.

"Who are you?" she spat at their attacker, sizing him up. Her pulse beat all through her body, every muscle ready to twitch and react in a split-second notice. The Force tasted the battle that was about to start; she would react to movements that didn't exist yet, strike out at a body that wasn't in her path until after she had started moving. The Force would guide her through this.

He had to be joking.

I am Death. Honestly. How clichй could you get? She felt his intent in the Force -- not through him, but through the realities of the Force, of what was and would be, and of her own body's reaction to battle -- even as he spoke. His blade was before her. Her own met his with a rich, harsh clang. Teeth gritted, she used her strength against him, pressing her blade to his, locking the hilts together. Without the Force she was formidable, as all Matukai were; with the Force as her ally, her strength only got better. He was, however, a most unusual enemy. Something felt different about him. He moved faster than a normal humanoid being should. But he couldn't be Mando; they wouldn't be so corny.

"Death?" she grunted out, shifting her feet into a better position, hoping to catch one of his knees and knock his legs out from under him. If she couldn't she was still positioned for either a quick defence, or a hair-bredth-from-death attack. "Yours, perhaps."

Gerris continued his attack. He smacked the blade away with his gauntlet, then used the other arm to grab the Jedi's neck. She was indeed formidable, but even the strongest can be felled with the simplest of moves. He kneed her in the stomach and stared her close in the eye.

"I will never fail. I will never stop hunting."

He then cracked his fist once again into her face.

He raised the blade again, confident in his victory.

She felt herself fall. The pain seared through every inch of her body. There was no anger. Only pity.

When you are strong, make yourself seem weak. If you are weak, make yourself strong.

Their eyes met again. She caught a fist in the face. Blood welled up, warm and sticky. It oozed and gushed. She hung her head, ready to take her death.

Lull. Tempt.

But never willing. He raised the blade -- and was over confident. His hesitation in savouring his victory was what did him in. Gathering the Force, numbing herself to pain, she let out a roar, boulstering herself. Pain was nothing, death was nothing; success was everything. She dove into his knees as hard as she could with her shoulders, blade in her hand. All she wanted to do was get him down, take him by surprise, and impale him with beskar. There was no pain. She didn't care how hard his armour was, if she had broken or fractured anything; all that mattered was taking him out.

If he thought he could take out a Jedi-trained Matukai, he was sorely mistaken.

((Guys, could you all slow down with the postings and wait for Phantom Knight and I, please? And could you all not control each others characters on what they do? Control only what your character does. Thank you.))

Lyna, watching everything, got a little frustrated. She used the Force to lift the assassin up in the air, and banged his back against the wall. The young woman continued to hold him down with the Force.

"Who are you, and why are you after us?" Lyna wanted answers, because she had other things to do. Like investigate the Sith cult, which was the main thing to do in the first place.

Lyna conituned to glare at the assassin.

Gerris watched in slow motion as the Jedi moved under him. She was indeed a skilled opponent. But what was she doing? Gerris did not know.

He looked down, right in time to feel a searing pain in one of the weak spots of his back armor. The Tac suit had been penetrated, and he was losing focus.

The adreneline rush was failing, and now he could feel the pain, the pain that echoed everywhere. It became hard to breath, and he felt the metal of the Jedi's sword in his body. He lost focus, and he couldn't hold on to conciousness.

He crumpled slowly to his knees, and then he lost conciousness, falling to the ground. His eyes staring at the red liquid flowing past him. But he was at least happy to know that he was still alive. Somehow.

And then he noticed that he was in the air, and he lost it. They would never get any answers out of him, least not now.

(((I was wondering where you were o__O I just didn't want to get killed, sorry. And I never control other charries ^____^)))

Zo backed away, withdrawing to instinctual safety, gasping and spluttering blood. Lyna -- thank the Force. Even if Zo could have got the words out, she wouldn't have needed to. There was no way anyone here would kill their opponent. Honestly, for Zo at the moment it was mostly out of sheer practicality. They needed his information. Then after she was healed and calmed, she might admit that murder wasn't exactly a Jedi tenant.

She settled into herself, trying to dredge up a quick healing meditation. There were fractures and broken bones that needed to be taken care of. She couldn't heal them, especially not now, but she could at least get rid of the worst of it.

"Lyna," she mumbled, leaning back against a wall, her eyes only partially open and slightly dazed as she pushed more and more endorphins into her bloodstream, "what's going on?"

Jaq continued walking, when all of a sudden he spotted the three Jedi again. Only this time, they were standing around a what appreared to be a dead body... of the armored man who was chasing them.

One dud with a blaster against three Jedi; the odds of his survival were very short. Unless he's still alive, that is. He walked towards them, and scratched his head while looking down at the fallen victim.

"Hmph. Looks like you guys took care of him easily." he glanced up at the Jedi. "I don't suppose you need a hand, do you? In taking care of this dead body before the authorities come to check this out?"

Gerris coughed awaked. He noticed once again that the Jedi still surrounded him, and he was in no condition to fight. He had nearly no strength left, all adrenaline gone, for the moment. Then a man walked up and announced something about a dead body.

So the think I'm dead? Good.

It would provide ample time to escape to hunt another day. But they were Jedi, they could probably still sense his beating heart. Still, he was Gerris the Assassin, he always found a way. He laid still and without sound, but he knew that it was slightly in vain.

"Lyna, what's going on?"

The young woman glanced down at Zosia worryingly, and answered, "It's gonna be okay, Zo. Don't worry..." Lyna then glanced up at Atrila. "Try healing her. That'll give us enough time to see why this Assassin is after us and to continue on with the mission I'm assigned to."

After that, she heard a male's voice. She turned. It was the same man that was bumped into.

"Hmph. Looks like you guys took care of him easily." he glanced up at the Jedi. "I don't suppose you need a hand, do you? In taking care of this dead body before the authorities come to check this out?"

Lyna grinned. Boy, this was totally an interesting evening for her. "Well... there might be some way to fix that..." Lyna answered. The young woman knelt down in front of the armored man, and raised her arm slowly. Then, she closed her eyes, and concentrated on the Force.

She could feel that she was healing the assassin, even though he was chasing them... for some reason. Lyna thought back on how she was a quiet and curious Jedi a year ago. But now, as a Jedi Knight, she was going to furfill her destiny.

"I'll heal him a little bit, just to get some answers. But I'm also healing him because I want to help him. It's not the Jedi way to leave somebody dying for no reason. Everyone needs a helping hand. Even if they're assassins..."

Lyna bit her lower lips softly, and continued to heal him a little more.

Gerris' situation wasn't getting better, well it was slightly. Now, as the Jedi stayed there, silent, he noticed an ease in breathing, some of the blood was coming back and his pain was disappearing. He resolved to stay still and play dead, but he knew this ruse wouldn't go for long.

Atrila finally felt like she could open her eyes without feeling excrutiating amounts of pain

Curse the Hunter

The last thing she had seen were little stars floating around her head when the hunter had head-butted her

And now the hunter was laying down on the ground apparently out cold

Poetic justice

"What do we do now?"

"What do we do now?"

After she was done recovering the assassin a little, Lyna turned to Atrila and smiled. "First, we have to figure out what to do with this man. Then we need somplace to rest. After that, we have to investigate about this rumored Sith cult that's forming. Since you and Zosia are here, maybe you could help me... if ya want to."

The young woman lifted the man to lean his back against the wall. Then she stood a few feet away from him, having her lightsaber at her side, just in case he did something tricky.

"Stop playing dead, assassin. I sense that you're alive. All I want to do is ask you a few questions." Lyna waited for his response.

His orders were quite clear, kill Cade Skywalker as well as any other jedi. He had been on Coruscant for a few days now waiting for the right time; that time was today. Reaper had been waiting for the chance to kill a jedi, it was in his programming. He was smart enough to know that assaulting the jedi stronghold would only get him killed, so he had another plan. While learning a few things from some dark jedi, he and the group discovered a holocron left by Darth Krayt. While he wasn't sure exactly what force was, he did pick on one thing that would help him lure Skywalker out. Reaper had watched a duel between Krayt and some other jedi. Another jedi with an orange lightsaber surprised Krayt by sticking her lightsaber into his right shoulder. The dark lord told Reaper to find this jedi and kill her, it would be a good way to get Cade to come find him alone. Reaper now in the present day on Coruscant has just come out of hiding. He put on a brown cloak and had the hood over his face. He moved down the streets, infested with smugglers, crminals, bounty hunters, etc. As he continued his walk, he noticed an armored man on the ground and three figures standing over him. Reaper looked at the figure standing in front of the armored man and noticed a lightsaber handle. It had been a while since he killed some jedi, however maybe he could get some information out of them first. Reaper walked up to the group of jedi and stopped.

"I couldn't help but notice that lightsaber in your hand, and I'm hoping you are a jedi. I'm looking for Miss Azlyn Rae, Cade Skywalker sent me to check up on her and I've never been in Coruscant before so I'm a little lost."

Gerris sighed and bumped his head on the wall behind him. So much for the ruse.

Then the assualt droid walked into the situation.

He recognized the design, he'd killed and constructed a few.

But he didn't see them as a conversational-like droid.

"Jedi, be wary of this one. Don't think you'll get your answers so quickly..."

Gerris stared silently at the situation, he needed to wait for the right moment.

Lyna glanced at a droid that came up to them. It looked a little scary, but she thought there was nothing to fear. Suddenly, she noticed that he mentioned the name 'Cade Skywalker'. Lyna let out a silent gasp.

"Cade? My boy... I mean... ex-boyfriend? And speaking of Azlyn, I haven't seen her since the Sith Order's defeat. She's probably still with Fel's Imperial Knights. I'm not sure..."

Before Lyna could answer, she heard the armored man's voice.

"Jedi, be wary of this one. Don't think you'll get your answers so quickly..."

So all of a sudden, the man wanted to warn her about something. But she appreciated it. Lyna looked at the droid and smiled. "I'm sorry. But if you're looking for a... 'Cade Skywalker'... he's not here. I think..." Although Cade and her broke up, Lyna wanted to make sure he was all right, no matter what.

Atrila was uneasy about the apperance of the droid

What are the odds that the droid fnds three jedi where they can't get any aid from the temple?

And suddenly, she noticed the way the hunter was staring at the droid

I don't like this, the the hunter shouldn't be staring at the droid like that...It makes me wonder if he's seen something like it before

"Jedi, be wary of this one. Don't think you'll get your answers so quickly..."

Reaper laughed at the armored man's response and prepared to respond.

"Yes my appearance is rather... intimidating, but that's how Cade wanted me to look. No miss, I'm not looking for Cade, I was sent by him."

This one acts funny when I mention Cade's name, I'll keep that in mind.

Gerris watched the droid carefully. This droid obviously didn't know how to lie, well, that's what Gerris thought.

He relaxed and clenched a fist, waiting for whatever may happen. He didn't like the droid.

Lyna looked closely at the droid. Then all of a sudden, she remembered that before the break-up, Cade made a droid so that he could train it in the ways of the Jedi. She raised her eyebrows.

"Wait a sec. You're that droid Cade made and trained. What's your name? Uh..." Lyna had to think about it.
