Lots of good deals to be had, so how much did everyone spend?
$0. My parents, on the other hand, (only) spent $100. Kudos to them for their restraint. :p
$0. I'll probably go take a gander tomorrow, hopefully the crowds will be down by then.
Around $200.
Mostly on some Thanksgiving food stuff. We celebrated today due to their work hours, and made my older sister cook. Bought $180 worth of food at Meijer.
Thennnn we went to the mall and bought a little bit of stuff. I just got a CD and a new iPod charger.
I didn't have the money to go shopping!
$0 :carms:
Partly because we don't have Black Friday here, partly because I was staying the **** indoors.
$0
Did anyone here about the 34 year old worker who was trampled at Wal-mart in New York? o_O I think they took their shopping a little too seriously
Partly because we don't have Black Friday here, partly because I was staying the **** indoors.
I don't blame you.
What's Black Friday again?....
$0 here too, I'm not much for going out in very crowded malls to save a few bucks.
What's Black Friday again?....
The Friday after Thanksgiving when everyone goes to the mall to watch bet on the catfights that break out between the mothers of prepubescent teens that want a new iPod/cellphone/TV/Tickle-Me-Elmo/earrings/****ty-Emo-band cd whatever... Oh yea... mostly predominant in the U.S.A. you Aussie donger :xp:
OT: I spent this many - $0
Oh yeah, I forgot this was lucasforums.us :xp:
Oh yeah, I forgot this was lucasforums.us :xp:
Indeed. >___>
$0. I worked on Black Friday like I do every year.
Might I add that I work in retail, but I work for a supermarket chain. Black Friday is usually our slowest day of the year. :D
Black Friday gets it's name from the fact that retailers can finally get out of the "red" in sales.
0 €. No Black Friday around here.
Zip.
I don't really like crowds, and the deals aren't *that* great anyway.
Yeah that WalMart employee that got trampled, I heard about it on the morning news or whatever. (Sad business) Then I decided to *not* go shopping at all that day. ;)
$0
But if you count saturday then $200 + because I got a puppy.
My parents spend about $30 on DVDs for me, didnt even have to wake up early, target and best buy had some great deals. I spent $10 on mezzo mix and chocolate but that wasnt related to christmas shopping
$0
But if you count saturday then $200 + because I got a puppy.
Make sure you put breathing holes, food and water in the box... just trust me on this one...
0$. I didn't wont to take the time... I hate crowds anyway.
$0. I greatly dislike going shopping in the first place. Even more massive crowds would not make it any better.
Stayed home all day. No money spent...
I voted "$1-$250."
Not Christmas related, though. I went to Burger King and also picked up some Cokes from the little store down the street from me. I would have done that anyway.
We got a $1200 computer for about $600 on a doorbuster deal to replace our dying desktop.
I usually stay indoors on Black Friday, but this year I bought a new guitar and some DVDs. Making rent and insurance payments was substantially less fun 3 days later, but, uh...yay consuming!
We don't have that here but in short I tend to stay away from crazy sales (like Boxing day here in Canada). I prefer to pay a little more for less crowds and less loss of time.
Though I could say that I spent somewhere in between $1-$250....gotta feed the car! (dammit I've been +-8 hours on the road  )
The only day I ever do major spending is Boxing Day. But, I'm sure if we had Black Friday up here, I probably would've spent a lot of I had it. :p
£0. No black friday, we have January sales, which is quite pointless seeing as everyone is skint from Christmas.
Nope, none whatsoever. Not because of financial issues but because I hate the crowds...I'm willing to spend more money if it means I don't get trampled at a wal-mart *cough cough*
$0. I have no money. Well, none I can spend. Well, none I'd choose to spend. I've got other things to do with my money than go and fight with thousands of irritable people so overeager to save money that they end up trampling people... (and yet another side mention to the Wal-Mart incident)
$0 Because I don't live in The U.S :P
~Xander
$0 black Friday is pointless in my opinion:xp:
I avoided the mobs and stampedes and bought a bunch of DVDs off Amazon.com.
Was quite the haul for about 85 bucks. Some of them were tv shows.
$0
In the immortal words of Kerr Avon "I'm not stupid, I'm not expendable, and I'm not going."
Did most of my shopping in October.
I spent nothing, the nmber one reason ws because i lost my wallet for the day
$0
I work at a credit card processing company now. I bet the low number on the authorization totals. I didn't want to go against my number hehe.
I didn't win anyway. Someone guessed about 200k more than me.
