I am really enjoying this game at the moment and i love going through again being more powerful.
It was great news to hear that DLC is being released but a bit disapointing to hear that its such a minimal amount (one pretty small level and some skins) and even more disapointing with suggestions that they will not even be free.
While i understand that it takes time and resources to develop DLC, its pretty obvious that the tactic here is to hold back stuff from the final game so that it can later be released as DLC.
I personally don't think that new skins are worth anything as they will add no difference in game play.
The new level will add at max an hour of extra gameplay to FU and as i said before... is clearly something that has been held back.
Just curious as to what other peoples opinions are on this.
Just to clarify i really do enjoy the game and i am surprised at how many times i have played through it now. After intitially thinking it had no replay value... i have gone through it about three times in total so i am not a hater of the game at all.... just a very disapointed fan.
I'm not giving 'em a cent unless the DLC is a multiplayer or survival mode.
I will probably buy any new levels they make, but new skins are useless. I would much rather spend my money on online pvp battles.

I completely agree with ya there.
As a matter of principle, I don't see why I should have to pay more for tacked-on content that really should have been in the original release anyway. If it was a revised and re-released version of the game on a disc (like Call of Duty 4), then I might buy it, but I am not paying for what is essentially a mod - no matter who makes it - that'll add next to nothing to the game!
And a few skins...nah. Not even particularly good characters, in my opinion...
why would I wanna play through as someone other than the SA? when the cutscenes are him, just stupid. The Temple is cool, but as SW01 said, this DLC should of been in the 360/ps3 version from the beginning...
Yep
Something like multiplayer or would be game changing and add lots of life to this game so could be worth it.
I also can't believe we didn't even get challenge mode on next gen consoles when they have it on PSP!!
Something simple like that WITH leaderboards can add loads of value to a game.
I think I'm just going to purchase the PS2 version for the additional content. I'm getting the impression that it would not be as complete on 360: only one temple level versus the three on PS2, no Sith ghosts, etc.
As long as it is 5 dollars(400 points) or less, i'll get it.
I rarely do the whole DLC thing anyway. I really have to be into a game before I can warrant it as it is, having said that if I feel the DLC for Force Unleashed is worth it I'll download it.
But... I love the virtual console on the Wii...I rarely download things on my 360.
As long as it is 5 dollars(400 points) or less, i'll get it.
There's a point - I've never used DLC from PlayStation Network or X-Box Live so I cannot even guess at it, but what do you think it is likely to cost?
The skins aren't worth jack; I don't care if they look cool or have anything fancy about them. No changes to gameplay, as others have said. If they aren't free (which they're not gonna be), I probably won't get them. That level better be pretty damn amazing for me to dish out Microsoft Points on it.
I'm afraid it'll end up being 800 points($10)
As long as it is under maybe 5 bucks, max, I'll buy it. I hate it when the developers hold back stuff form the original game for DLC to make some more money.
Is it any surprise that the game is called FU?
Depends on how much it costs. I'll almost definitely get the Temple level. As far as the skins go, THAT depends on what skins there are. If they have Asajj Ventress, Juno, Maris Brood, and/or Aayla, I'll probably get it.
I believe there is a cheat code for Juno, but I think the others are a part of the costumes pack.

That is my primary concern with downloadable content in games in general; that something that should have been in the game to begin with is lifted out and sold separately, thus watering down the game itself. I don't mind DLC that actually adds something substantial and separate to the game though (like the "Bring down the Sky" add-on for Mass Effect for example). Those can be fun and add more to do in the game when you're getting tired of the main plot. :)

I tend to abbreviate it as "STFU". :)

Really? The only skin cheats I found for the PS3 were for the Emperor and Vader.
There is cheats for PROXY, stormies, Kota, drunk Kota, and a lot of others. Look on Gamespy or IGN.com
Most of the cheats are just Imperials.
Minor Spoilers.
MANDALORE - Master Kota Costume (cannot be saved)
HARDBOILED - Blind Kota Costume (cannot be saved)
PROTOTYPE - Proxy Costume (cannot be saved)
FERRAL - Scout Trooper Costume (cannot be saved)
TK421GREEN - Kashyyyk Trooper Costume (cannot be saved)
TK421WHITE - Storm Trooper Costume (cannot be saved)
TK421BLUE - Storm Trooper Commander Costume (cannot be saved)
VICEROY - Bail Organa Costume (cannot be saved)
WOOKIEE - Master Kento Costume (unlocked by holocron)
HOLOCRON - Jedi Adventurer Costume (unlocked by stage progress)
DANTOOINE - Ceremonial Jedi Costume (unlocked by Jedi ending)
KORRIBAN - Sith Stalker Costume (unlocked by Sith ending)
Theres the cheats I found on IGN. The PROXY costume is funny.
There is a Darth Vader skin?! What is the code?!
Im thinking that since they're skins, they're probably going to be free (or at least really cheap)
I wish they would be able to make some kind of multiplayer DLC, but such a thing would be a huge download, so i dont think that would be possible :(
Hey, I'd be happy enough if the skins were free and the bonus level was no more than a couple of pounds/dollars, but unfortunately I can't see it. :(
Most likely I won't. I've already got everything of the Temple and skins on the PS2 version.

I agree with all of this completely. I think it's such a shame that even if the extra level adds only an hour, which it won't, the producers obviously feel that it's completely legitimate to charge 60 dollars for a 8 hour game. What I'm trying to say is, if they are willing to do that, what's them to keep from charing us for an extra hour. Oh, and let us not forget, the skins. Ummm, skins are old news, those are for counter-strike days, not for TFU days. We want Vader playable can they not see that. We also don't want to see luke and obi shooting lightning when you press Y on the xbox 360, and I can talk for the ps3 players as well, whatever their lightning button may be. Please... I beg of the developers to listen to what their fans are saying, greed is what took our economy down, and greed is what is taking these games down. Money is not what is important here, staying true to the real fans that support lucasarts and his endeavors is!!!
Thanks, Da_Man. I'll go try those out right now! :D
I don't think that it is worth it at all.
obviously this would depend entirely on the content of the DLC, soooo...maybe, lol
If it can make the game worth playing yes, let's pull this cash cow out of the pit of mediocrity!!
Probably not seeing as I only rented it and beat it in a weekend. It would probably be like $5 so it would make more sense for me to rent it for the Wii for $8 so I can get the content missing from the Xbox360 version (there just putting the extra content form the Wii, PS2, and PSP as DLC for the Xbox360 and PS3).
Outside of duel mode, and the extra levels, none of it's worth it...

Possibly...
If it was a HUGE skin pack - dozens of good quality and interesting characters - I may be tempted to hand over a small amount of money!:D
Not a chance. I've completed it twice and now I'm totally bored of the game.

Well it's certainly the exact opposite.
Why do you say that, LOTF? We don't know how many skins there are yet, just how many confirmed ones there are.
[They're] just putting the extra content form the Wii, PS2, and PSP as DLC for the Xbox360 and PS3.
That's pretty much what most of us are asking for! ;)
What I meant to say was "the DLC (in total) is not worth it."
Call me Fish by the way :thmbup1:

I'm still waiting to find out exactly what will be offered, so I'll reserve (a little) judgement until then, but I am beginning to lean this way. If it turns out only to be the four or five skins publicised, and a token part of the Temple, then no I won't pay for it. If the Temple is more extensive, or if it emerges that this is a test run, then I may think it worth a small payment. They are deceiving themselves, however, if they think anyone will pay double figures, or even high single figures, for it.
i think I'll just get it, even if it'll be expensive, as I'd like to have a... "complete" TFU.

I think we may be waiting quite some time for that...:(
If so, not many people will still be interested in TFU anymore.

Maybe - already I am playing this game more and more rarely. Regular, or at least every-so-often, infusions of new levels and content may be just what it needs to stay fresh.
I've haven't played it in a few weeks. It mite stay fresh... The again, it may not if the DLC isn't released for half a year.

Yeah - still waiting to hear even rumours of a release date.
the only thing that can keep games fresh is multiplayer which is why imstill playing an Un-Upgraded warhawk rather than this or MSG4
the only thing that can keep games fresh is multiplayer...
Again, I'm inclined to agree - it's something I'm hoping for in later DLC projects (if there are to be any.) Multiplayer on the next-gens would be great - especially if they let us do online multiplayer. Take notes, LucasArts!

Only online play keeps games fresh.
If they have the same unlockable characters from the Wii, there's gonna be a TON!
Yeah i am playing less and less now.
Just milking the last few achievements here and there.
I have to say though i am quite surprised about how many times i have played through after intitialy thinking it would be dull to go through again.
I don't think DLC will save this game from trade in though... if anything it will encourage it.
If the DLC is charged then its going straight back to the shop in exchange for another game.
If its free then ill probably hang onto it for a while longer... depending on what is added.
Sadly another level will only have limited apeal and what i am now REALLY looking forward to is a sequel or prequel or whatever... but something using the same game engine... only this time a FINISHED game
