Anyone can model an area, as long as you have the skills to model it, texture it, export it, and have the patience to do it 20 other times.

Now..what is that supposed to be, and is there a skybox?
This is the city of Keldabe. The skybox is just a moon. I could add stars and stuff, but once the lighting is done, you wouldn't be able to see them.

Though, your floor texture, the grass, is very tiled. I mean its very visible. You can't escape that its a tiled texture, but I think it could use a tweak... Unless, it's less visible when you walk about with a character?
And you do need a skybox, a black sky is so freaking unnaturale :lol:
But, yeah this is still WIP :p

EDIT: On the skybox thing: don't forget to put the Self illumination to full white == 100% ON. Like that other lighting will have no effects on it.
It's what makes every sky bright in the game. This also gets used on lights and all.
EDIT2: Also use the Self Illum on your moon!
You can set the Self. Illum in the AuraroTrimesh modifier. ;)

Yeah...even if the lighting will make no stars visible, i appears as if you are walking on a platform in space. is there nothing you can do to make the background more planet-like?
I'm sure progress will go swiftly now. Once a model is like "done", you can fill it in with NPCs and other smaller details. Though that doesn't stop Candy :xp: to further tweak the model.
Like adding a sky of his liking or adjust the textures :D

Got Jax's head working, finally. (had to learn the hard way that you cannot break texture verts)
I am adding dialog to the first module now to complete it and start the quest for the mod. YAY!!!!

Well this is more of an update to say this isn't dead. I am working on finalizing the model and HarIII has done some placing. I foresee new screenshots by this weekend.

That ground texture is pretty seamless? What'd you use, Offset+Healing Brush?

What can I say about the pictures? So it looks great.
I need some feedback as what should be modified, changed, or improved.
you've still got a little bit of banding going on. On one side of the ground texture, the value is a little lighter than the other side. The seam is also still a bit noticeable, where the lines of the shadows don't match up.
There is a way of mixing in several tiled textures onto one plane (your ground mesh)... i remember there was a technique in max, just have to find it. I'll see if it is compatible with the game engine. I'm saying this because it might help you add a variety to your ground texture to make it less repetitive and more natural-looking.
If you can find that, please do tell.

I am now re-texturing the model to make it look better in the game. Placing has also begun. Be prepared for a large gap between updates as the next screenshots will not come till the model is done, and new NPCs have been placed.
