Greetings, new here, after buying and playing through ME i felt it was time to give both Kotor I and Kotor II a whirl again, was a few years ago.

Now I never tried any mods at all when I played a few years ago and now I really want to enhance my experience and I now ask ya'll if there what mods you really recommend me to download and use, goes for both games.

Thanks in advance!

It depends on what you're into really. I personally like to add lots of new content and add some nifty new items to play with.

My personal favourite set of mods for both games are as follows:

K1:

WotOR (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Weapons_of_the_Old_Republic;74001)
Brotherhood of Shadow (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Brotherhood_of_Shadow;83006)
Recruitable Kay (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Recruitable_Kay;85258)
ORD Mandell (http://www.jumpstationz.com/RedHawke/RHORDMandellMod1a.zip)
Yavin IV (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Yavin_IV;87707)
Revan's Items by ChAiNz.2da (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Revans_Items;66228)

TSL:

Coruscant (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Coruscant_Jedi_Temple;76316)
USM (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Ultimate_Saber_Mod;73530)
Fork Lightsabers (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Fork_Short_Lightsabers;84232)
Final Touch (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Final_Touch;72996)
Lightsaber Replacement Hilts (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Lightsaber_Replacement_Hilts;72772)

As you can see, I like added content and new weapin models a lot, best thing you can do is poke around KotORFiles (www.kotorfiles.com) and see what you can find that you like the look of.

As for what Marius said, I would not advise mixing BoS and Recruitable Kay. It caused certain characters in BoS to look like Kay and other BoS characters. For instance, a Rodian character turned into Kay. It does not kill the game, however.

True. BoS does not play nice with any mod that changes appearance.2da, but it doesn't break your game, either.

90SK's robe mods, and his super content pack are pretty good too. Also, if the visual effects (such as flaming lightsabers on power attacks) annoy you, you might want to check out Shem's realistic visual effects mods:

Visual Effects - K1 (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Realistic_Visual_Effects;90382)

Visual Effects - TSL (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Realistic_Visual_Effects;90383)

For KOTOR - There are a ton of great mods out there, but these are my current favorites.:
Shem's Featgain (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Feat_Progression_for_K1;76579) and Force Power Gain (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Force_Powers_Feat_Gain_for_KOTOR;61184). (I love these - the game is a little stingy on the feats - especially if you like to play a consular)
Allronix Dialog pack (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Dialogue_Pack;81241) (She restored a lot of dialog and added more - very well done-adds a lot to character development. Not all has VO, but it's quite well-written.)
RedHawke's OrdMandell (http://www.jumpstationz.com/RedHawke/RHORDMandellMod12.7z) mod is a blast to play. (Its really tough as well)
RedHawke's Sith Artfacts (http://www.citlink.net/~redhawke/mods/RHSithArtifacts.7z) (Its nice to be able to use these items as a light side char.)
RedHawke's Ebon Hawk WorkBench (http://www.citlink.net/~redhawke/mods/RHEHConstructionBench.7z) (You can make some really neat stuff)
BOS (Fabulous mod even though it still has a few little glitches. Fantastic storyline)

minor bump?
Marius Fett covered most of my favorites. Another one for TSL:
The Holowan Plugin (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=152134)
It features many of the lost good PCGM mods. And some that were salvaged to KOTORFiles.
ie. Avol's Vader Helm, Segan Wyndh's Armor, RH's Correction Armband, [TSL] Darksword...
The list goes on. For a complete list, see the read me.

I think that this (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=189192) mod is pretty good. It's only a WIP, but I think that it's going to be finished before too long...

^Buy KotOR.

Anyway, back on topic. RedHawke's (http://www.citlink.net/~redhawke/) site contains all of his mods for TSL and KotOR. They are all excellent, and some of the best mods around IMO.

There was an Ultimate Mandolorian Mod somewhere on the 'net. I believe it was on PCGM, but I'm not sure. That is definately a must have.

Is this the one you mean? Shem's Mandalorian Ultimate Mod (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Mandalorian_Ultimate_Mod;84477).

^: No, thats not it. It changed Canderous to look like Jango, and MAndo armor looked like Bobas armor, etc.

You'd be talking about Movie_Mandalorians_v2.0? portion of Readme follows:

"Movie-style Mandalorians v2.0" MOD for SW: KotOR 2: The Sith Lords
By DeadMan........
1. What is this?
This MOD changes appearance of all mandalorians in the game. Now they will look in style of Jango and Boba Fett.......
