The topic says it all. What kind of sound editing program do I need to get custom dialog to have voice overs? Once I have the sound files, where do I need to put them and what do I name them?

You can use audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) as it can save .waw files. But I'm a noob at VO's so i don't know if this program is any good.

You can just throw the sound files into the streamwawes and you can name them whatever name you want them to have.

Thanks and take care.

Yeah, Audacity is perfect for this (with a mic  ). After recording dialogue you can use the programs filters to make it sound better and even cut parts out you don't need or combine to files. Plus it's Free! Well worth the try.

After recording you have to drop the files in the Streamwaves folder.

What do I need to name the files so that they will play ingame?

Like Sekan said you can name them whatever you like, it's best not to make them too long but make sure you name them something that you can remember, say if you were recording each node in order you could name them sithspecter001/002 etc.

Thanks guys. I realized that I had to change the format to MP3, that's what I really got stuck up on. Oh, well. I think I'll go test it out now!
