I just got Dead Man's Chest for Christmas, and there are two different discussion items I thought of while re-watching it.
Debate 1. Whose purpose for owning the Thump-thump seems the most righteous to you and why?
Will: Stab the heart to free/avenge his father.
Norrington: Regain his former honor by delivering the heart to East India Company.
Jack: Use the heart to save his own skin and negate the debt he owes to Davy Jones.

I've never seen Stand By Me...but it's still awsome because it's Stephen King's.
As for the PotC debate...
1. Well...I guess Will's is the most honorable...but let's face it...Jack's awsome...he wins...

Now to get serious, Will's reason for getting the heart is obviously the most noble.
And more than once, the compass pointed to Jack when Elizabeth held it, I think it's obvious that she wants him. What I think will happen in the third one is...Will will (that sounds weird doesn't it) see that Elizabeth wants Jack, and since he loves her and (I assume) wants what makes her happy, will give her up so she can be with Jack.
Or maybe that won't happen and she'll decide to be with Will. What do I know?
