Is it possible to take custom hilt desings from one of kotor games and change it so it can be used in the other kotor game?
What I want is to take Badon's Saber from Holowan USM mod and import it so Darth Badon uses it in Kotor 1. Perhaps through MDLops I can try to set it to work for Kotor 1, but I wanted to see if that is actually doable.
I know it is illegal to import and to export original content between the two kotors, that's why I am asking about custom made models. If I am still breaking Holowan's law, I appologize in advance, and I will understand if this thread gets closed.

It can be done with only MDLOps (and partially KotOR Tool).

Try this tutorial. I wrote it a couple days ago after testing it, and it should guide you through it unless I botched a step. Just make sure that if you're converting this hilt for anything but personal use, you contact the author of the hilt first, as a courtesy.
Custom models made by fellow modders ported from one game to another is not illegal. You're more than welcome to talk about it. :D

Hello Svosh, how are you? No doubt that all your models are being enjoyed, they float everybody's boat! I can assure you they are for personal use only. I just wanted to make a more logicall sequence between Kotor and Kotor TSL. Being that we can get Bandon's Saber (made by you) in TSL, I though that it would be good to see that Bandon uses it in Kotor.
I hope there is no problem with that. Thanks again for making such nice hilts, and models in general.
