I have just started modding. I got inspired by some of the mods that have been released. I would like to create my own lightsaber blade color, but have no idea how to do it. I am starting to get to where I can give properties to my sabers and things like that, but I want to give my saber a unique blade color. Does anyone know how to do that? Keep in mind, I have had no computer programming and have just started modding. I need a start at square one and assume I know nothing kind of answer. A step by step would be nice too. I checked out the tutorials on Holowan labs, but I did not see a tutorial on modifying blade colors.

Just download the .zip file, and open up the saber tutorial in the zip package and make sure to follow all of the instructions closley. So I hope this helps and again welcome to lucasforums!:D

I want to be able to completely change the blade color. I would like to get rid of the white core and change it to a color and then change the glow to another color. I have seen in other mods where people have done that, but I cannot find any instructions on how to do it myself. Anyone got any ideas?

Somebody actually made a mod like that you should try and se if you can find the person, email them, and ask how they did it. You can also just experiment a little. But anyway you go try to have fun doing it!:D

Anyone got any ideas?Using KotOR Tool, you'll need to extract the lightsaber blade texture colors, I can't tell you exactly where to locate them, because I don't have KT on this comp, but they should be named w_lsabre_red01 or something to that affect. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

In KT (for KotOR1 at least), the blades are found under ERFs - TexturePacks - swpc_tex_tpa.erf - W - w_lsabre*colour*01.tpc. Easiest is to just replace you least favourite colour with your new one. It's not too hard however to add a whole new colour crystal because of the way it's set up, I'll explain it if wanted.

This is a post I made a while back explaining some of the things you can do to make a new lightsaber blade color. I'm not sure it's all that you'll need, but it should help somewhat I hope.
