[TSL] Does a saved game retain custom 2da and texture information?

I've downloaded a few interesting saved games for K2 (one you could play as Hanharr from the begining - renamed Chewbacca) and realized that some of the information from the 2da modifications were retained by the save - how much can be retained in a save game this way? appearance, baseitem, head and portrait 2da's, as well as custom textures?

To the best of my knowledge, the main things retained in a save are .ut* files. .2das are not saved--if a save exists that needs an entry from a .2da and it's not there, it might look for the next best. That happens with custom NPCs, where they'll turn into the last valid entry in appearance.2da; can get weird fast (Dustil turned into a lot of interesting things while I was busy making that mod and breaking my .2das). Lightsabers will break if they need upcrystals.2da, otherwise they'll still work but may look odd if they used a custom color--the icon may show up as a white square, but as long as its not upgradeable or you don't try to upgrade it, it should still work. Same with other .utis. Your save you got with Chewbacca must use an existing appearance, because the .utcs will stay in memory and retain information from the .utc, but not from appearance.2da.

ETA: Textures aren't saved either. Anything in Override could get lost unless it's already become part of the game...so a custom blaster using an existing texture will potentially still look right and work right if it's in the game, but you couldn't cheat in another one. If it used a new texture, it would probably look weird.

Ahh ok I was thinking I could save people the headache of using my 2das (since I don;t know how to code execuables to change 2da's) and bypass all of that when uploading my mods as saved games. Ah well 2da's it is lol

Thx

TSL patcher is really easy to use, it isn't brain surgery. ;)
