Hey all I was just wondering what you guys out there think is better Republic Commando and if they make a sequel or the Jedi Knight\Dark Forces series??? And by Dark Forces and Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight I mean the mods that there making of them.

At any rate I liked the Jedi Knight series better, I played the demo of Republic Commando and didn't really like it (I'll stick with HL2 or F.E.A.R if I want to play an FPS game).
JA seems to have more replayability, what with the gigantic amount of mods for it. The gameplay isn't that bad, and you get used to the online community after a while.
Ah so so far people like Jedi Knights better than Clone Commandos??

To the topic, I don't think the two compare. The two are so different that they should stand on their own. Both RC and JK are awesome and worth buying.

That all depends on what you're after. If all you want to do is have fun being a Jedi, then go with the Jedi Knight games. If you want a grittier, darker, less forgiving version of the Star Wars universe, go with Republic Commando.

I like commandos better than jedi. Republic Commando was a really good game, I thought. I've never played the Jedi Knight series, so I couldn't compare the two games. If I had to be one, I don't know which I'd want to be. Jedi have a better chance of living, what with the force and regular lifespans, but commandos are really cool. I like the idea of being such professionals. They aren't afraid of battle.

Jedi Knight series.
Jedi Knight has been with us for over 10 yearsm while Republic Commando has not. More people (including myself) enjoy the Jedi Knight series more.
Eh, Jedi Knight series. Although to me it's like hack and slash, but RC has more interactivity. Just my opinion.
I like Republic Commando better. I love FPS and love playing the part of a clone trooper.

Although I love both of these series (even though RC is only one game, not a series), I'll have to go with Jedi Knight. There's plenty of FPS games out there, but there have been no other Jedi-simulation games like the JK series.
Republic commando because the jedi are getting boring and I love the Halo* mode shooters so there is my answer. *I call first person shooters "halo mode shooters" for my love of the game.
Both are very good games, to tell you the truth. I like them both.

The Jedi Knight series is the better, it is more moddable (arguably) and is just plain pwnage.
Republic Commando is a great game in its own right, but falls short of my expectations.
