I'm for Taris Sith Base. Good place and it will be integrated in game just in time. At that time PC doesn't have lightsabers and a good sword will be more than welcome.
Best place is Korriban but is a little too late for a sword.
So, if you could make a script to place that saber in one of footlockers in the last room from base will be great.

Just start a game from before entering the module where the Sith Governor is. (If you already have a save in that module, it won't work, you need a clean module otherwise, the old .utc will have been saved).
