So you can accrue points which lead to medals. Four medals in any one category and you get a Bonus for the player; Elite Assault Rifle, Vehicle Regen, Particle Beam Rifle, Shielding to name but a few...

Anyone know where I actually get the items from (or view them) once they've been awarded? Also, the manual says "anything unlocked will be available in all modes".

Why do you need to destroy book cases?

you have to protect them so the jedi dont destroy them.

and when you get awarded the new weapon it just the same as your weapon except its more powerful and fires purple shots. It just appears in your hand, and when you die you lose it.

As for the awards in single player, I got the impression that once you earned them at the highest level in MP, they would be available in SP automatically.

If you did so and they're still not available, I am guessing they mean when you start a NEW GAME you will suddenly just have the upgraded gear.
