Actually they don't have to be sprite looking at all! Try to make them almost Scott C. style, the only time when they have to look like sprites are in my mind which is a big TV with a buncha video games in it.

Anyway, how is Japan people-wise? I know there's a lot of schoolgirls and porn (just like in cartoons!).

I would like to take on one of the writing aspects of the game. (God bless you computer programmers and whoever is drawing the vaults). Whoever is writing the storyline I would be glad to help write or to be the editor of this game.

I like to edit so I would be as strict as possible in order to shape this game to what its true potential can be on such a limited source.

Thanks! So far not much of the plot is planned out, since this game is really free base since it will be CONSTANTLY added to, I'm thinking a mission based thing, however each mission is a plot in it's own, what I've got so far (three plots):

1)PseudoNauts:A terrorist organization called the PseudoNauts is plotting to overthrow the PsychoNauts using their own brand of psychic force

2)CyberThought:A madman is switching the brains of top psychics with electronic brains used to break into PsychoNauts HQ.

3)Nothing to Fear but Fear:Someone is using FrightMare Gas to give psychics horrifying nightmares that while they sleep they commit crimes while simultaneously living their worst fears.

Klia, anything else you can come up with is welcome, just make sure to include which minds you have to go through to get to the goal.

Something interesting just popped up. I'm just throwing ideas out there. As someone who constantly changes sides, I probably will hate it later but sharing ideas is what we are here to do.

Isn't Raz now an important part of the Psychonauts world. We cannot completly ignore him. As some later level we could have the character delve into Raz's mind. For what reason? He could be under the Fear thing you presented or another mental thing can be plauging him.

A small but possibly fun idea to carry out. However I would also like to speculate more on the levels that are not inside people's minds as that can be just as important.

Not really a goal as I need to know more about the story that has already been set up. If you would like to PM me about it or just post it here I would be glad.

I have a huge, huge plan for a mental world, can draw up figments, write like crazy (since about 120 wpm and a lot of ideas is a good combination), and compose music of all styles.

I also am going to write up my character sheet right now.

So far the Non-mental worlds I have conceptualized are:

PNHQ:Psychonauts HQ, a large base housing many psychics
Scalper Asylum:Another asylum, however it is still in business and NOT a tower
Tearpull City:A large city home to PNHQ, Scalpe rAsylum, and all kinds of other psychic happenings
Museum of Mental Exploration:A large museum housing all sorts of psychic history and a statue of Truman Zanatto made entirely of Psytanium (properly shielded for the masses of course)
Pathol Therapist Offices:A large building full of people devoted to Psychology rather then Psi-ence.

This is perhaps my favorite place as it presents a whole different aspect to the mental world.

I'm a little wary of the asylum since there was another asylum in the game. However done carefully I think it could be done quite well.

I have begun thinking more about the Psuedo-Nauts. And I don't believe that they should have an underground lair or some type of cliched villian hideout. It would be interesting if they were cool, calm, and collected, as they tried to steer clear of such bumbles that many rebels make. (Ex: Coach Oleander. Way too sloppy) Instead they would infiltrate places of psychic energy and as the game progresses they have already taken over most of Tearpull City pyschics without anyone noticing.

Another plotbunny just arrived with the mention of the Psuedo-Nauts. Here I may ramble without doing much.

What if one Psuedo-Naut worked in the asylum and was the cause of some of the asylum patients insanity. The whole time they talk to the person they fend pity for them but in reality are twisting up their psyche.

Inside of this person's mind it would be two conflicting worlds. I don't mean like Gloria's light/darkness. Take for example something as simple as a street. Half of the street would be white and the other half would be black. This would be from their own view of the world and the Psuedo-Naut's invading view of the world.

I'm going to have to expand on this later.

Pretty good... and anyway the key difference between Thorney Towers and Scalper Asylum is that Scalper is still up and running, meaning it's more organized, however they still accept freelance visits from psychics. And I'll check out that list for ideas, btu really I can't get started until I get some sprites. :(
