jk3 is not even made yet
jka is yust an expantion for jk2 that turnd out to be a new game only its not jk3 its jka period! :p

The argument can be seen from these perspectives

JKA = 3rd game in the JK series, thus it is JK3

JKA = Standalone Expansion pack for jk2, thus making it not jk3

jka = 3rd game in the jk series, which should have been an expansion pack for jk2, but is a separate game, thus it is jk3.

END.

This was established long ago, so you game-box thumpers should get with the program. You lost the argument YEARS ago.

i like had a totally new saber battle system thought up in my messy brain.

You can enter combat mode like in KOTOR
but now you can do it at will an swing you saber at will.

If you have enemies you target them and all battle commands are done with the keyboard. (leave the mouse for the fps-maniacs here:D)

Like you'll have left arrow + ctrl = quick swipe left, then shift+ left arrow = hard swipe left and so on.
Moving is done with AWSD keys.
But instead of moving freely you can pick your opponents even if they stand around you and you'll have a blocking button which you press with the according arrow key to block in that way. moving and acrobatics will probably be reduced a bit, who cares noone uses anything but roll in the game

Hmmm don't think people will like that...
Too complicated... but hey anything's better than the current JKA saber play:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thats right! We should all go back to JK saber play!!!!!1 You know... big glowing stick with 2 whole moves!!!!!

I like JKA sabers, and since its the best we have... and the best thats EVER been made... well, it can't be that bad. ;)

Play Movie Battles 2 mod at www.moviebattles.com)

Sabers have been greatly improved in the mod, I highly recommend it, its the only reason I play JA anymore.

In the Star Wars universe the art of blocking comes naturally to a jedi, the skill is to hit an enemy. In JKA it`s the exact opposite.

its trying to hit and aviode a hit (becouse your dead in one hit) and yump a lot learn how to poke becouse evyone dos it nowadays
dit you ever see a jedi poke....... no..... realy..?

Its funny how you use what the developers gave you only when it has potential to give you the upper hand.

Sadly, nobody gives a damn what lucasarts claims, it is the third game to bear the jedi knight moniker, so you do the math.

There will never be a new patch for JA or JO. If there is it will just adjust multiplayer connection issues as they arise. Raven are too busy working on Quake IV now.

if thay are done doing that thay will start making a jk3 <<--not 4 BUT! 3
and then we will get screens of it after 2 months after thay have done Q4 and then we will all be dripping out of our noses
then jk4 will come and this will all start over again yust like in jk2 and jka :eek:

single sabers are useless,now. The JKA Devs have totally overlooked singlesaber combat,which is the essence of the jedi knight games.

I`m talking about the defensive capabilities. sure, they can deflect blaster shots but defending against another single saber is virtually non-existent.

Well, in JKA a lot of the blocking ability is based on physically touching sabers. Don't spam attack and you should do ok as long as they aren't using a kata or special move.

Ppl, your going off the subject, were suppose to be talking about the patch.

I know that JAmod2.3beta 1 fixed this, but the next patch (if they ever make it) should fix the yaw_speed. They should also fix the problem that everytime you re-install JKA*, it shouldn't be so hard to get dismemberment back. That's all I can think of right now, but I'll soon think of more.

JA should have gotten a new patch like a moth after 1.01. But of course that never hapened and we got stuck with a game that has a lot of bugs in its mp part.;)

I wouldn't worry so much. After all this time there is OJP (Open Jedi Project) to fix those remaining bugs for us! ; )
