i've downloaded a manual for skinning and they said that you must make a zip file and convert him to a pk3 file. but i dont know how!!! please help

You can just replace the .zip extension with .pk3 and it should work fine,...

I suggest not using tutorials at all. All they did for me was slow me down. I suggest just exploring the pk3 file by changing .pk3 to .zip and unziping it. If you have windows XP, theres a really useful tool that allows the PC to read pk3s like zips at Pcgamemods.com. Just poke around. Try downloading a skin with bots and sounds and npc's so you can learn that stuff to. Good luck!

I use PakScape (http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/PakScape_V_011;1327). I highly recommend it to anyone who deals with pk3 files.
