Ok, I took an Jedi Master robe and tryied to make a new item.
The BASE ITEM I left as Jedi Master Robe.
I changed the name, added some new attributes that are only useable after you upgrade the armor.
I also made it a "disguise" armor to look like Darth Bandon one's (I love his robe) When click on my armor to change then CLICK on the modified one the game Froze and I have to close it.
What am I making wrong?
I believe it's the upgrade thing cuz I cant see it in the description when I select it and it crash.
Some advices/help would be appreciated :D :D :D
Oh, and by the way, this is my first attempt to make this.
I use the Kotor Tool to put all the attributes and Roboious GFFEditor to make the disguise thing.

Hey bro just got your PM. What I did to get Bandon's clothes for "my" PC is a several step process. Let me see if I can help you.

In the appearance.2da file there are the bodies of the models in the game. On this list is all of the bodies for the PC that you can choose at the start of the game. That PC is the 2nd black male on the screen to choose PC's when you start a new game.

The appearance file lists these PC's also in the file, If you go to line 156 you will see this listing P_MAL_B_LRG_02. This corresponds to Player-Male_Balck_Large_02. The code is similar for all of the PC's male/female, black, white, asian and the number they are in on the PC screen.

Now what you need to do is look to the right for the rows that say
modela, texa and texevil. add this in each of the three boxes N_DarthBand. Then move over to the right to the boxes that say modeli and texi, put N_DarthBand in thoose as well. Go to a new line and save those changes. Place the new appearance file in the override dir.

Now this gives you Bandon's body and your PC head. One thing of note the clothes are just that they have no robe like protection. In order to get that I just edited the skin the way I wanted it and renamed it to a Jedi Robe that has the qualities I like and placed that new skin in the override folder. I used the cheat to call up the robe on demand and banger you go.

What you did by changing you PC is to put Bandon's body under his head. So in underwear you PC will have Bandon's blue robe with zero qualities. However, when you put Bandon in the modeli and texi slots, those are for Jedi Robes. So when you wear the new skin robe it will take the qualities of the robe you replace.

If you have ANY trouble of get stuck, just let me know. I will do whatever I can to help you out, just like the guys did for me. Cheers.

Ok, I'm a bit slow to understand.
I didnt quite understood fully so I'll ask this, then there is no actual way of making an Bandon armor?
What I understood from what you said is: I have to edit a Skin to have the atributes.
But I dont understand how to do that...
Or I take a normal cloth and change to that?

I knew I was not as clear as I should have been sorry.

Ok you know how to get the TGA of Bandons clothes with Kotor Tool right? If not just go into to Kotor tool and go to this tree. ERF's>Texture Packs>swpc_tex_tpa.erf> then to this file N_DarthBand01.tpc. Double click it so it comes up in the viewer and hit the write file button. That skin is extracted to your hard drive and you can edit it and rename it to the matching Jedi robe you want and place it in the override folder. That is how I got it on my PC in the pictures on my site. Let me know if you need more help. No question is dumb and you are not bothering me by asking, I LOVE to help other people.

Do what I do since I am a bit lazy in programming stuff LOL!. There is a great mod called the Modern Robes mod that adds not replaces 4 male and 4 female robes. This is a FANTASTIC mod of modern day warfare clothes in Jedi Robe fashion.

Anyway the file comes with four uti scripts that have been a godsend for me. The skins are coded and numbered PFBI/PMBI 21-24(no conflicts) and male separated from females. The scripts are ejmrobe21-24. So what I do to use the Bandon skin is just rename it PBMI21.tga. When I enter the game I type giveitem ejmrrobe21 and banger she's there. This is the easiest way to do it that I know of.

Oh yeah this gives the modded Bandon robe all of the qualities of the Elitle Jedi Master robes from the mod. Great balance but powerful stats for these robes.

I think that for Bandon "suit" I need a different base item on the Kotor Tool...
If I use Jedi Robe the skin will look like a Jedi robe...
What Base item, in the selection thing on Kotor Tool, you used?

As I understand it the way it works is that is controlled via the appearance file. When you put those N_DarthBand references in the appearance file for the Jedi Robes for your in game PC then the robe(Bandons) should fit your in game PC perfectly. If you did not change the body models as above then the robes won't fit right.

I just reread your first post. If you have fooled around with the baseitem.2da file stop. That file is probably the one causing issues. Don't mess around with it.;)

Ok, I modified this one: P_MAL_C_LRG_02
I use a White Soldier. Face with the scar.
It didnt worked.
Which base item should I make the armor to use the Bandon tga?
What could I be doing wrong?

Hmm, have you modified the appearance file with the N_DarthBand entry in the model and tex slots that I put above? Can you be a little more specific as to what is actually happening like a crash or mismatched clothes/body/head? Thx.

Ok, I did that thing in the P_MAL_C_LRG_02
But what happens is, if I select the base item in the kotor tool as Jedi Robe the skin will stay all mixed up, it uses the bandon tga but it stays all mixed like if that is not the right base item to use.
I want to know what is the base item to use and why the skin get all mixed up, or what base item I should use.

Reload not to sound rude or anything, but where in my description do I say do "anything" to the Baseitem file? As a matter of fact, whe I realized you had been altering that file I told you to leave it alone.

I would "LOVE" to help you, but if you do not follow the "exact" instructions you will get these types of undesirable effects.

I suggest that if you are serious about this you need to start from scrath with fresh files and only alter the ones I say. I don't mean to be harsh but you are not following "exactly" what I say to do, that is why it is not working bro.

Then explain EXACTLY what should I do to make an armor that uses Bandon Armor Skin.
Very well explain in the minimun details!
I'll wait for your explanation.

Hey bro modding is frustrating at times I know I am going through some frustration right now with my mods. But on to the point, I have re-read this thread and to be honest, unless you go back to my first post and follow from there there is nothing else I can do for you. You kept mentioning Baseitem and what to change that too and I kept saying don't touch that and just do what I said in my instruction posts.

I mean it seems pretty clear to me if I say open the appearance.2da file and go to line xxxx and put xxx in the slot that is straightforward. What has happened is you come back asking a question about baseitem.2da and I didn't say anything about altering that file, only the appearance.2da file.

I went on to explain further how the appearance file changes the PC model body and format so that the jedi robes you edit can be attached to your PC body like in the pictures on my site.

I provided you with the uti scripts so that the Bandon clothes would have Jedi robe qualities.
----------------------------------------

I really don't know what else I could do to help you. The way I learned was from a tutorial in the sticky up top on modding. There is a specific thread on modding to get Bandon. Maybe that would be better help for you. Cheers.

Ok you can kick me now I said the name wrong... :smash: :headbump
I said baseitems when in fact I was saying Appearence.2da ....

Ok, I did what you told me to do there, and I renamed the tga file to the one that came in ur robes but when I use it the skin gets all mixed up!
like if it was missplaced in the armor!
What type of character in the appearence.2da should I change?
I'm white soldier with the face with the scar!
last time I modified this one: P_MAL_C_LRG_02
Is this the right one?
There are alot of these to modify there.
Please give me a hand here :(

Hmm, sounds like you may have the edited the wrong head. Do you have a picture of the PC you are playing as? Is it the one with the little soul patch under his bottom lip? If so that guy is 01.

Next, have you made sure to place the N_DarthBand code in the model and tex slots? Yes/No? Let me know.

Ok you are now speaking to the #1 MORON of the year probably.
I saw that post and got it.
It is now working the Bandon skin...
I also made the Darth Morder from Darth Straker's Sith Armada be able to use it as a Jedi Robe just like me :)
Sorry for bothering with this mate.
As you noticed I'm a moron :headbump :headbump :headbump
