NPC_Droid_remote problem

Has somebody used the NPC_droid_remote succesfully in SP? This is the small, round floating droid that is shooting with an integral laser weapon in the beginning of Yavin2 map (this is also the droid Luke trains saber skills with in New Hope).

My problem is that I'm not able to see the projectile of the droid's weapon in any other map than the Raven made Yavin2. When I place this droid in my own map, it's lacking the projectile. If I spawn it (NPC SPAWN remote_sp) in any other map than Yavin2, it's lacking the projectile. It still shoots, that's granted, but there's no yellow blaster effects drawn in game.

NPC_droid_seeker (that is your friend, otherwise pretty similar) which is shooting red, not yellow, blaster shots, seems to work much better. I should not have any modified files that could interfere with this. And I haven't spotted any noteworthy script command in the Yavin2 scripts that could cause this (although for some bizarre reason the culprit could still be lurking in the scripts).

To be frank, this ridiculous problem is slowly causing me a nervous wreck. Significant help will result in adding the name of the helper in the credits of my ongoing SP project.
